When can you customize/order your Magic Bands?

Can anyone tell me how far in advance of your trip can you order & customize your Magic Bands? We have a trip booked for September, and all of our reservations are "linked" to "My Disney Experience".

Last November I got an email to customize. That was about 30 days before my trip. This time I just happened to check on my tickets on MDE and saw that there was a message saying customize now, bands are shipping soon! That was a week ago, 3 weeks from trip date. I received them 3 days after I customized.

You can customize pretty immediately once your reservation is linked. They won't ship in until the last day to customize, which is roughly 30 days before the trip.

Yes. I customized the bands for my August trip over a month ago.

Under the 'My Disney Experience' menu on the WDW website, there is a selection for Magic Bands. You customize them there.
