When can you book 2008 packages?

I am trying online to see if I can book for next September through the disney website. I know that their website has been having some issues so I don't know if this is available yet or just having difficulty. I had to cancel my upcoming trip this september because of financial reasons but look forward to a trip next september- a girl has to have something to look forward to.

You can't book online yet, but you can book by calling WDW.

You can book a room only reservation right now at the 2007 rates and the cost will be adjusted when the 2008 rates come out. You can't book a 2008 package yet.

There's been a rumor that the 2008 rates will come out June 23rd. I have called Disney no less then four times since June 13th (and am currently on hold for a CM right now) and have been told that the rates would come out mid-August with a slight possibility that they will come out in July.

Yesterday, I got all excited because a CM told me the 2008 rates were out but his computer was down. I was told to either call back or they would call me back. When I called back, the CM told me that the previous CM was mistaken. The rates weren't out yet!

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I the rates come out soon!

According to another thread, the 2008 package rates are out for UK travelers (except DDP). Hopefully we'll be able to book soon too

Let's hope the CM I got through the Travel Co this morning does not know what she is talking about! She told me September! I said "September? I was told this summer." She said "No. It will be late August, early September before you can book your package." I think I will call back Saturday! Everybody keep your fingers crossed! I would be happy for the first part of July too!

According to Mousesavers, package rates were released last year on August 6 and room only rates were released in May. Since 2008 room rates are not out yet, an August/ September release date for packages might be right. In previous years (2005 and 2006), though, there was only about a month's time between the release of room rates and package rates. I'm not sure you will have package rates by early July, maybe it won't be as long as September!

When I booked my room only a few weeks ago, the CM told me that 2008 rates would be out end of June and package rates about a month after that. I wish we wouldn't get so many different answers

I just know some people have said on other threads there was a possibility with the new changes to 2008 rates and higher rates on weekends, etc that we might see rates and packages out by June 23rd and some had said the first part of July. We can alway hope!!

Just hung up with Disney reservations (again). Talked with a very nice CM named Jake. He said the computers are updated every evening at 12:00 Midnight. He said that I will know at the same time he will know. In other words, when he gets to work, if the his computer shows you can book 2008, we will be able to see it online too.

I asked him the June 23rd question. He said he didn't know anything about it. He said historically, the rates come out mid-August.

I, personally, am still crossing my fingers for this Saturday!

Crossing fingers for sooner rather than later- I'm possibly planning my first trip with my best friend in January for my bday- DH doesn't want to take the kids till they're older, so I told him I wouldn't wait that long!

I need to know how much to start saving!
