when can we try to switch?

okay fast question...right now we are booked at our home resort for our dec 5-13th 2011 visit but really want to switch to either animal kingdom, boardwalk or wilderness lodge. do we have to wait till the exact 6 month mark? or just the 6th month? so basically can we call on june 1st, or does it have to be june 5th? tia!

You can switch at the 7 month mark, which will be May 5th.

If you sign on to the member website, it will tell you what your current 11 & 7 month dates are.

You can book at a resort other than your home resort at the 7-month mark. You can make ADR's at the 6-month mark (180 days from the start of your stay + the first 10 days of your vacation).

I would be sure to call exactly at 9 am EST.

I just did my first switch at 7 months last week. I had checked a few days before for availability and there was none, but when I called on the 7 month mark, Pixie Dust came my way. Although it was a shorter stay, only 3 days so that helped no doubt.

Good Luck, I hope you get what you want. If not be sure to WL or consider a split stay. There seems to be a lot of WL luck going around!
