We are going to arrive at WDW July 13, 2008, and we are on the dining plan. We will be going to a few character meals. The ones we chose are:

-Play 'n' Dine at Hollywood & Vine Breakfast at The Studios (Playhouse Disney characters)
-Crystal Palace Dinner at MK (Winnie the Pooh & Friends)
-Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner at MK (Goofy, Minnie & Friends)
-Chef Mickey's Breakfast at Contemporary
-possibly Akershus at EPCOT for dinner (not sure yet)

We are also thinking about the following restaurants (non-character):

-Biergarten at EPCOT for dinner (as alternative to Akershus)
-Ohana at Polynesian for dinner
-Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner
-Cape May Cafe Clambake dinner at Beach Club

We have 2 boys who will be ages 3 years old and 14 months old when we go to WDW this summer, and their favorite characters are at the meals above. I know these restaurants book up fast and are very popular.

I read somewhere (can't remember if it was here or somewhere else, as I am doing a ton of planning and getting lots of info) that families staying on property can make ADRs 10 days earlier than anyone else who is not staying on property. We are staying at the Pop Century resort hotel. Is this true that instead of waiting until 180 days before the day we want to go to the restaurant, we can call 10 days earlier than that? Also, I booked my trip through a travel agent. If booking 10 days earlier is possible, how do I do that since I did not make my reservation directly through Disney?

I am planning to keep all of my dining confirmations in one place so that I have them on me when we go. That was just one valuable tip I learned here! These boards are great and I would appreciate any info anyone can give me about ADRs, even if I did not ask the specific question here. Thanks!

the 10 day advantage is actually that 180 days out from your arrival you can make ALL your ADRs for the next 10 days. So some of your ressies will be earlier than people staying offsite.
