When are your kids last day of school????

Just wondering when everyones kids get out of school and how that will trickle down with the parks getting busy. I am in North Central Ohio and their last day is June 2nd.

June 1~ We are in the north central Ohio area too, kind of.

Northern Florida...last day May 19th. Their last official day for attendance purposes is probably a few days before that. We'll be with the mouse May 19th - 23rd!!!

Kids in North Myrtle Beach, SC get out June 7th. We plan on leaving June 9th for Disney, but we probably won't be able to wait and will leave on the 8th!

Here in Central Arkansas last day is May 30th.......you guys that don't get out till June 20 something...WHEN do you have to go back?? Ours go back around August 19th.

In south La. it's the week of May 29th.

I have found that the specific date varies by school. Yet another gift from Katrina, as most schools are usually out in time for Memorial Day. This year we will be in school that day!

I'm sure the kids here are in school the same number of days as other kids around the country. (180) However, we don't start our school year until after Labor Day, and we have a ton of days out during the year.

For example, the 2005-2006 school year started on September 8 our last day is June 28.

Our schools were/will be closed

October 4&5 for Rosh Hashanah
October 10 Columbus Day
October 13 Yom Kippur
Two days for Thanksgiving
6 days for winter recess
Martin Luther King day
February 20-24 Mid winter recess
April 13-21 Spring recess
Memorial Day
Brooklyn/Queens day (June 8)

This Thursday and Friday, 1-8 graders will be out. High schools students had and extra day out in January.

Our school year ends late, but I love all the breaks we get throughout the year.

Richmond, VA - June 16th. They go back right after Labor Day. We will be at WDW 8/23-30 - lower crowds and great rates!!!!

Here in Illinois our last day of class is June 1st, report card pick up June 2nd, fly out to WDW June 3rd


This year is later than most years, in the past we get out right before Memorial weekend.

We homeschool, so we start early so we can end early.......but the local schools get out around June 21st. They didn't go to school until Sept. 6th and some schools the 7th. It's always the Tuesday or Wednesday AFTER Labor Day.

This year they will start Sept. 5th or 6th.

Wow!! Thank you to so many people for responding. It's amazing how the school year varies around the country. It's also great to hear that so many people are heading to Disney when school is out. Everyone have a great vacation!!

Around here...we are getting out around June 12th....it's not official yet..due to previous snow days....they haven't determined our last day yet. (I know this because I'm a teacher).

The kids always start back to school the Monday before Labor Day.

In Franklin, WI our last day is June 9th and we fly out June 11th for 9 days at our DVC. We are staying at BWV this time and the kids don't know we are going. It should be a grat surprise.
