gopherit I am seriously hoping that many people did double bookings. We are also going to be there in your time frame (aug 12th -17th, then cruise 17th-20th). We have made ADRs for anything specific we wanted and are going to play it by ear for the rest. The free dinning is a big draw however so we may be doomed to a very busy park.

I am stressing that the crowds will be HUGE ( see y'all there).....Oh well....personally, I do not care for the parks when empty and 1/2 the stands are closed etc., I like action!

We have always gone in July or August. When I booked this year's trip, I was excited to go on the 19th, knowing the crowds would be starting to dwindle. Uhhuh, then they announced the free dining. I am worried about the crowds now, but there is nothing I can do about it~and I am going to WDW! I made my ressies without a problem, so as long as we stick to our plan (lol) we SHOULD be fine.

Very soon! Our journey will take us first to Boston, then on the 20th, we'll be at VWL!

We now have 11 people at the most and I was able to change times and get seating 6 weeks out for our whole group, Chef Mickey's (breakfast) and Crystal Palace (lunch).

Should I be scared that the poll shows that the most people are going 8/12-18 (basically the week I am going)? Or, is that just because everyone responding is an enlightened Disser who knows that's a good week to go?

Only 7 more days til we get out of dodge! Belleincanada- I sure hope you're wrong about the weather- what a bummer that will be. As a native of Florida I am well aware of the very common afternoon thunderstorms. I can live with those. But I am praying it is not a week long monsoon! Ugh!

...we were very lucky...it only rained when we were having lunch at the food court in The Land, in Epcot.....and there was a very BRIEF thunderstorm when we were leaving AK.....
