When are meet and greets timings announced please?

Talking to my DGS today about our WDW plans and all the time keeping him informed and asking about his thoughts - he is on the autistic spectrum and needs to know about everything and discuss it - he suddenly mentioned he really wants to meet Gaston as he makes him laugh so much in the movie- so we had a look at our plans but I realised those sort of timings aren't on MDE yet.
How far in advance are times released please?

I use the WDW website. I hover over park and tickets go to more park hours and click on the date I am going. I believe the character schedules only come out about 2 weeks in advance but I am not sure

Thank you - yes I could see it was just until end of August- so we will have to be patient- and I'll happily wander back with him if it doesn't fit quite into our plan.
