When are CM holiday parties?

Another poster raised this issue with me when I mentioned the dates I was considering in December. I'm so glad, I had no idea!!! Is there a way to find out when those are? Would it just be 1 night? I don't mind the park closing early one night while we're there but would cry if it did each night!!!

While nothing has "offically" been announced yet, the CM parties typically fall on the first Monday and Tuesday evening in December. My guess is that they will take place on Dec 7 & 8, right after the Candlelight Processional on the weekend of the 5th & 6th.

Ugh. Do you know when they announce it? And on those nights do they not do the parade or fireworks?

Actually they do the fireworks those nights at about 5:45pm. No kidding. It's quite a surprise for people in their evening commute.

The park closes at 6 pm and like the poster above said, yep fireworks at 5:45 pm, and earlier parades both days. They are always late in announcing the official dates, usually late October/early November (right around the same time the announce the CP dates), but I would bet on it falling on those dates I mentioned above.

Day 1 & 2 of our Dec. 2008 trip were CM party nights ~ I didn't mind at all. The early fireworks were great. We spent the evening at CA ~ that park stays open later on the party nights. We did spend 4 days on this trip when usually we can get by with 3 days. If things go as planned days 1 & 2 of our Dec. trip this year will be party nights again and that's alright by me.
