I just found out that I might be able to go back to WDW in February with my mom for a conference, but I need some help deciding on when to go and which resort to stay at. She's got 2 options (yes, 2 conventions in WDW at almost the same time) and doesn't care which one she attends, so the criteria is best time to be in WDW in terms of crowds, weather, and resort (location, convenience, etc.). My mom will be in meetings for a good portion of the day, so it will just be me and my daughter until late afternoon so I want to pick the easiest trip. My daughter will be 1 on February 26, so it'll either be right before or after her 1st birthday.
We can't change the resort so if we pick the earlier conference then we have to stay at the CR and if we pick the 2nd we have to stay at the YC/BC. We're planning a family trip (me, DH, baby, and maybe my mom) for April and we'll either stay at the Poly or WL then, if that makes a difference. We've only been there once in Feb and it was in 2003 2/13-2/20, but that year it was also President's Weekend, plus a blizzard in the NE that snowed us in, making our Valentine's weekend trip into an 8 day vacation. We've been there in March a few times, but always later, around 3/17-3/28, so not sure if that's different. I know either way we'll have a great time, but I'd like to make the trip as smooth as possible. Thanks!

Since you will be staying at a MK resort in April, and my very favorite resort area is the Epcot area I would choose the YC/BC with the later dates. The early dates are the February school vacation dates for the Northeast so there would be larger crowds and also higher airfare. I also think the later time will be better for weather (warmer) although that is certainly luck of the draw. How lucky you are to have these"difficult" choices!!::MinnieMo

I also picked the later dates due to Presidents/Feb recess dates being the earlier ones. That could be very crowded.

Besides, I love the Y&BC resorts!

I repeat DO NOT go during President's Week - it's entirely too crowded. The entire Northeastern United States goes during this time.

I picked CR. You can't get more convenient with that, especially with a baby. Also, President's Day is the 21st, so you will be gone by the time the crowds start.

Hi,

I'd go to BC/Yacht because of the location. Have fun!!
