September 1: Hilton Head’s signature summer event, HarbourFest returns to Shelter Cove Harbour featuring live entertainment by Shannon Tanner twice a night, plus unforgettable food, arts and crafts along with Tuesday Night Fireworks beginning June 14. Family-friendly entertainer, Shannon Tanner, returns for his 28th season, performing two shows at 7 and 8:30 p.m. Cappy the Clown will be on hand as well! Monday-Friday, May 3-Sept. 2, 2016, from 6-9:3o p.m. Admission is free. Food, beverages and concessions sold separately. September 2: Every Friday night during the summer, enjoy one of the finest qualities of our Lowcountry with the Sunset Celebration headlining bands at Shelter Cove Community Park from 7-10 p.m. Bring a beach chair or blanket and pick up a picnic from one of the Shelter Cove Towne Centre merchants for an evening of live music, jugglers, face painting and bounce houses overlooking the water. Admission and all activities are FREE. Watch for the line-ups of who will be performing as the Sunset Celebration will continue every Friday night until September. September 2-4: Edisto Beach Music & Shag Fest! Bay Creek Park (beside the Marina at Edisto Beach), 3706 Dock Site Rd. Dance to Shem Creek Boogie Band, The Entertainers, Shag Doctorz, East Coast Party Band and Band of Oz., the best beach music bands in the country. Park opens at 12 noon on Friday and Sunday with arts and craft fair and food vendors, Saturday events begin at 10 a.m. The Shag is the State dance of SC. Come to Edisto Beach and be entertained by the top Beach Bands and best Shaggers in the Southeast. September 4: Every other Sunday evening this summer, head out to the Comedy Magic Cabaret on Hilton Head Island to enjoy a fun Family Magic Show with Gary Maurer. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and general admission is $10. This event is perfect for young families. Soft drinks available for the kids, beer and wine for mom and dad. Food and snacks also available. September 7: The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Dr. Al Segars for Marine Mammals of South Carolina” at 3 p.m. on Sept. 7, 2016. Segar’s presentation will focus on the marine mammals sharing our coast. Topics will include dolphins, whales, manatees and seals! Hear the latest information on the Unusual Mortality Event currently impacting our Bottlenose Dolphins as well as a discussion on appropriate behavior around these amazing animals. September 17: You are invited to the inaugural Jeep Island 2016 on Sept. 17, 2016 at Shelter Cove Community Park featuring food booths, lawn games, vendors, a raffle and prizes for the coolest rigs!. Come enjoy the spectacular beauty of Hilton Head with fellow Jeep enthusiasts. There will be a show and shine, raffles, and local vendors. A Low Country Backyard is a full service restaurant and bar and will be giving away some appetizers and whatnot as well as serving food & drink specials. A portion of the proceeds will donated to the Island Rec Center. NO JEEP? NO PROBLEM! Everyone is invited to attend the Show and Shine and cast their vote for the coolest Jeep and enjoy all of the festivities during that event from noon-3 p.m. Come meet Jeep lovers and see some great Jeeps! September 17: Hosted by the Italian-American Club of Hilton Head (IACHH), the Italian Heritage Festival honoring the Feast of San Gennaro, is a hit every year. Head over to Honey Horn this year on Sept. 17, 2016 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to enjoy the fun fest, feasting on an array of Italian delights.

September 18, 2016, celebrate the Latino Heritage Month at the 7th annual Latinos Unidos Food Festival, which benefits Volunteer in Medicine Hilton Head Island. This event will include live Latino music, food and kids fun and it all begins at 11 a.m. at Shelter Cove Community Park. All are welcome to bring their own blankets/lawn chairs and to sit back, relax and take in this celebration of culture. There is a suggested donation of $3 for adults. September 22: Fire’em up and cruise in from 5-8 p.m. at the Shelter Cove Towne Centre every fourth Thursday of the month. This classic car show takes place on Shelter Cove Lane waterside overlooking Broad Creek. No costs, no reservations. There will be awards and a 50/50 raffle. September 23: Join the Island Rec. Center as they host Dive-In Movies this summer, the fourth Friday evening of the month, from 5-10 p.m. Float in the pool and watch a movie! There will be special games and activities based on the movie to start off the night. Pizza, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase. Floats welcome. September 28: The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Tom Murphy, a retired biologist with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, for a presentation on Sept. 28, 2016 at 3 p.m. Murphy, who was in charge of endangered species during his long career, will share his knowledge of the natural history of alligators in the Lowcountry. From nearly extinct in the state to abundant, this presentation will cover the successes and difficulties in recovering and maintaining alligators as a part of South Carolina’s natural landscape. It will also cover key natural history characteristics and the unique traits that alligators have evolved over 180 million years of evolution. The cost of the program is $7 per person (for an adult audience 12 and older) and reservations are required by calling (843) 689-6767 ext. 223 or online at coastaldiscovery.org.

Doc - this is great info! I haven't scrolled back to see if this is something that is shared monthly, but it's exactly what we're looking for for December 2016. I was about to post a thread to ask what's happening in December in Hilton Head but I'll wait to see a response here because if the info is coming in late November, that's still time for us for planning.

We'll be there Dec 18 - 26.
