When and How Can I Book FP+ on New AP?

Tried 'Search' and I'm still confused. We'll be buying 2 APs for our Oct trip and other trips past that time frame. We've done the MDE thing twice, last Oct and last month so we know that part, first time using UT tix and last month direct from Disney passes. Will I be able to purchase 2 APs a few months before our Oct trip and start booking FP+s 60 days out? We already have 9 days at BW on DVC points booked, that shows up on our MDE page. I seem to be seeing claims that we can't customize our bands and book FP+ until we actually activate the APs on our first visit. Any info would be appreciated.

How will you be buying the APs? If you buy tickets that you intend to convert to APs, you can link the tickets and book at 60 days out. The FP+ reservations would not be effected by the conversion to APs once you arrive.

You just add the annual passes to you MDE, use the reference number once purchased and they will be linked to your account, then on arrival at Disney get them activated. I just did this on Saturday,

Thanks for the quick replies. I actually was considering getting 8 day passes from UT and upgrading when there, supposedly the process credits you with the Disney price not the UT price so I save $$. As long as this also allows us to book FP+ in advance I think I've got a plan.

Yep - you link the tickets that they send you using the numbers on the back of the tickets. Takes less than a minute - very easy.
