When adding on-can you book after deposit or do you have to close? banking ? too...

We are thinking of doing a 50 point add on at BLT-I thought we could not but or guide said we could(thought it was changed to 100 min add-on??), anyways, once we give the deposit, can we book almost right away on the add on points? we are not going until oct 2010, so i cant book the 11 month window until nov, but that is coming up. If we give our deposit in the next couple of weeks before the price is raised, can we book at the 11 month window before it closes to try and lock in a room at BLT? We did an add-on at ssr about 2 years ago and i cant remember how that worked.

Also,we were told we can get points to match our use year, august and get 50 now upon the deposit or closing-however it works, can we bank those to use for the trip in oct 2010, essentially giving us 100 points when we go since we would get 50 more in aug 2010? does that make sense?

If you're buying directly from Disney, they'll have the points in your account within a few hours of making the deposit. You'll be able to do anything with those points you can do with normal points.

Obviously, those points would be tentative until you actually signed the contracts, closed, etc. But they'll give you access to the right away for booking, banking, etc.

Yes, you can book as soon as the points are available. I added on at BLT, and made reservations the next day with those points.

Our add on BLT points were available within hours of giving our credit card number for our deposit to our Guide. We were told that a soon as the points show up on our DVC account we can use them.
