Wheelchair Question

Hello everyone! My elderly grandmother and great aunt are going to Universal for the first time in January. They will both need to rent a motorized wheelchair. I have 2 questions: 1. I am assuming these are available to rent, if so what is the price? 2. Are you able to bring them out of the park to the parking lot. My grandmother cannot walk further than a few feet without losing her breath. Thanks in advance for your help!

Guests can rent strollers, wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV) upon entrance to either theme park, to the left side of each park's entrance. Manual wheelchairs are also available at the Rotunda area of the parking structure. Due to limited numbers, please note that ECV Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be operated by a single person 18 years of age or older.

NOTE: We suggest you place a request in advance for ECV rentals (at least 1 week prior to your arrival). This can be done by contacting Guest Services by calling 407-224-4233.
I Don't believe you can take them out to the parking garage, which is pretty far away. I think your best option would be to use a wheelchair to get her to the rental area where I would hope they would store her chair while she uses the scooter. Maybe borrow a chair from the rotunda area of the parking garage to get back and forth.

rental ecv in the park, can not be taken out of the parks.

since you said your relative is unable to walk but a few feet, i assume she will have a wc of her own.

if your aunt only needs the ecv for in the park, and has issues with lengthy walks, use the complimentary wc from the garage to the park.


if the relatives will not be able to do the rides, inquire at guest services that is located outside the park for the discounted tickets.
it used to be a 10% discount for them.
