Wheel of Fortune contestants during the shopping era from 1983 - 1986

Just curious, since I'm a huge television game show fan, were you and / or somebody you know a contestant on Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak and Vanna White during the shopping era from 1983 - 1986 (either on the NBC Daytime version and / or the syndicated nighttime version)?

No, but I was about ten years old then and I loved watching with my grandma and seeing what they would purchase. Remember those crazy dog statues they always had?!

Those were actually ceramic dalmatians. In my opinion, I thought they were kind of cool.

Well, I don't personally know anyone, but my feet are currently resting on a coffee table that was won that way. Some great aunt of DH's apparently was on the show and this little piece of history has come down to us.

Miss the dalmation statue.

My cousin was on and won! I remember her puzzle was "Cookies Cakes and Pies". LOL She bought a TV, a trash compacter and a camera if I remember correctly.

I loves it when they had lots of money and buy cool
things. Hated it when they'd get to the end of their cash and still
have an obligation to purchase something. Even if
the only item they could buy was fugly.

I was just talking about this in reference to my kids and everyone looked at me like I had 2 heads! I tell them my kids are like winners on Wheel of Fortune! "Mom I'll take the overpriced jeans for 150!" lol
