I just made an ADR for The Coral Reef at Epcot because I've never tried it (and because Le Cellier was completely booked  ), but after making it I started noticing several really bad reviews about both the food and the service online.

Has anyone eaten here, and if so could give your opinion? Tanks.

I haven't been there since 1986. It was great then.

I loved the big aquarium and the food was pretty darn great too.

I do not like seafood. At that resturaunt i swear i have one option. However we still go. The tank is just so cool to watch! My GF does like seafood and says its on the low ok scale.

On a side note...ever eat at the beirgarten? We never miss it!

I remember the days when people would pay the admission to EPCOT just to eat in this place!

Sadly, those days are over!

We had not so great service a few years ago - but since then all greeat. Service and food. All good!

We were there in April...the service was fine, the food was good (twelve of us eating there and no one had a bad meal), and the tank is pretty cool. That said, I haven't been to Le Cellier to make a comparison.

We took our DD there in March. It was okay. We had a table right on the tank and that was very cool - with that said, the food was just okay. The service was really good - she went out of her way to make sure our DD was having a good b'day!

So, I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. But, with that said, I think you should go and experience it for yourself.

We've been 2 or 3 times and we enjoy it. Maybe we just aren't very picky! :rotfl: We're going again on Saturday (OMG!! SATURDAY!! ) so I will have a more recent review for you soon! :)

We ve been there last summer. The only thing we enjoyed was the aquarium. The service is not that great and the food was so so...

I had never eaten there until a couple months ago. I am not a very picky person. The atmosphere was great and fairly quiet. The service was great. Although I do not eat hardly any seafood there were a couple items to pick from for me. I had the steak. It was okay but nothing memorable. I don't remember the side dish and I know I had a salad that was fine. I had a desert that I don't remember either. I would go back and try the chicken breast as I enjoyed the atmosphere and it also takes 3-4 medium to bad experiences for me to cut something off my list. For the money the food was just okay.

I was there in February. The food was pretty good! But the service was very iffy. Neither me or my finacee were like gung ho about that part of it afterwards. But we LOVED the aquarium!!

It was ok. The waiter had to be hunted down to get anything (refills, ketsup for he kids, a steak knife) but you could have this at any place, the food was ok (although the lobster bisque was yummy). We are going back to WDW in Oct and are tryign some new places. The fish tank was cool, but again we want to try something new!

Enjoy whatever you decide!

A bad day at Disney is better than a good day at home!

We ate at Coral Reef in Jan. We'd spent years trying to work it into our schedule an were looking forward to it.

Sadly, we won't go back any time soon. The food was okay, but, nothing exceptional and the service was TERRIBLE.

One excerpt to represent the experience:
Two people in our party ordered steak which should have led to steak knives being delivered to the table. However, the steak arrived (at least 30 minutes later--note, I'm not complaining about the time, just noting that there was plenty of time to bring the knives) and they still didn't have knives capable of cutting it. They both asked the people who brought out the steaks for a steak knife (the two steaks came out separately carried by two different people). Then, we waited, asked our waiter twice for steak knives before finally getting up to snag a fourth person and ask for knives.

The food was pretty good (at least mine was), BUT there's a story about the service...

It was our first trip with the baby...we had a tight window of opportunity to eat before he would be ready for a meltdown. We had plenty of time IF the steak that was ordered well done by my spouse had come out correctly, BUT it came out RARE. R-A-R-E. The waitress didn't come back for quite a while to see if everything was OK and, by then, it was too late to have them fix it. My son and I were practically done eating. When she finally did come back and my spouse showed her the blood running all over the plate, she started off very apologetic, but when we told her that we had to go before the boy freaked out, she had a MAJOR attitude about it. Excuse me? Y'all were the ones that messed up here. Even though she copped a 'tude, I left her a tip based on the % of the cost of what would have been the amount of the total meal because it wasn't her fault that the cook screwed up, but she really needed to work on her customer service...

I have not eaten there yet but I chose it for our September trip so I could get the personalized menu for my partner. emailed my pics down and they will present it to him at the table.
