whats your oldest souvenir? are they still available

I have a stuffed Pongo that I got about 10-15 years ago. I can't rememeber when I exactly got him. :confused3

I loved that dog. The shape of him is just perfect for cuddling up with and sleeping. When I got married in 2004 I tried to give Pongo up in exchange for my new husband, but I just couldn't give him up. Everyonce in a while, especially when I am not feeling well, Pongo will slip into the bed and usually in the morning Pongo will be in the middle of the bed sticking his head above the covers.

Hubby's the best because he knows I love him and he knows that Pongo loves me. :goodvibes :teeth:

Neat Topic...

I have an old park map from Epcot and MK plus a ticket for Epcot. I Also have a glass mug that I bought on that first trip in the early 80's with my high school band. So much fun, brings back a lot of memories.

I personally have Mickey ears from 1982ish

Me too twinz.....do yours have round ears or are they sort of oval-ish???? mine are from 1981-ish and the ears are not round like they are now. they are sort of squished on the side that attaches to the felt hat.

I have a stuffed Mickey from my very first trip in 1976, when I was 4.

I have a baseball cap with the Magic Kingdom on it from 1971. And my DW has her parents Disneyland maps from 1955 & 1956. Oh yeah I also have some left over ticket books from the 70's. You know those A & B tickets that no one wanted to use.

I have a stuffed Figment, and Minnie Mouse from my first trip ever in 1986 when I was 11. We also have in the photo album from that trip everyone's tickets to the parks and since it was the 15th anni. you got a contest ticket at the gate and you could win something. We kept all of those too, all our non-winning tickets that is.

I recently found a certificate for Minnie Mehunee Character Breakfast dated 12/19/1986( youngest daughter's) and don't remember if everyone got these when they attended? does anyone know and do you still get them( haven't been to a character meal in yrs)? it is naturally signed by chip/dale, minnie, mickey pluto( who i thought someone said didn't sign so maybe i should sell this on ebaby hehe)

i know that particular meal is defunct but wondering if any give them out still

my other daughter had the kitchen kaberet eggplant stuffed toy somewhere around here to. that has to be pretty old, from our first trip a few yrs before that one.( like around 84-85 maybe???)
What a coincidence! I was about to say my oldest souvenier is DSs' certificates from the Miinie Menehune Breakfast in 1987. I've also got their flags from the Donald one on the Empress Lily in 1989. What's really sad for me is the knowledge that all the character breakfasts we went to when DSs were young are now defunct. We've also got certificates from when the kids stayed at the South Seas Clubhouse, which is now the Neverland Club at the Polynesian.

I have a white parfait mug with Cinderella's Castle in gold and my name on it as well as a blue tie-die brimmed hat also with my name.

Both circa 1973 - can you tell by their fabulousness. Needless to say, neither is available any longer.

Also, I kept stationery from around that same time from the Poly. It was my first stay.

I have a goofy hat, the kind where the back part is mesh! and the brim is his face with teeth hanging out and his ears hanging down. and goofy signed it for me! (i didn't ask, i remember, we met up with goofy and he pointed to my hat and cheered, and then grabbed a pen from my mum and walked over, wrote his name, pushed the hat down over my eyes and face, and posed with me, directing my mum to take out the camera and take a picture. ROFLMAO i loved it. i also have a daisy duck one, but its sooo uncomfortable. hard plastic front with her face and her beak. its too cute to get rid of. these would be early 80's.

i also have my autograph book from my first trip when i was 8 in 1983 /:O)

I have my monogramed Mary Poppins hat from my first trip to DW. I still remember buying it on Main Street. It is probably about 30 years old now, and still in great shape.

I have tarot cards purchased from the Magic Shoppe that was in existence on Main Street USA from opening year. Still,I guess then, I didn't need any type of fortune telling to reveal that I would become a Disney addict....

I found round at my Mum's house an old PAL video of WDW called " A Dream called Walt Disney World" circa 1980 that we bought when we first visited the USA in 1981. I watched it on Sunday and it was really good. I couldn't help think that I was 7 at the time of the video about the same age of the little blond girl who stars in it. I wonder what she's up to now? Does she still love to go to WDW?

My oldest is a t-shirt I got from the 20th Anniversary of WDW. I don't think you can still get them but hopefully, they are going to be coming put with some new ones since they are about to be 35 yrs old.

I think I have everything I ever bought or was given.

Back in 1975 I bought a witches mask in the Magic Kingdom magic shop. That mask has been used every Halloween since and is still in great shape. I used to love that shop.

My grandmother brought me back a charm bracelet from her 1st trip. I think it was 1972. She stayed in the Contemporary and thought the monorail was the neatest thing ever. I think she was around 70 then and my Aunt took her for her birthday. It was her first plane ride also. What a great present for her :goodvibes

I have matching plush Mickey and Minnie that I bought with babysitting money in '79.

I also have a souvenir book from 1971 that shows the proposed Asian and Venetian themed resorts that were never built around Seven Seas Lagoon. DH wanted to put it on e-bay for a friend, but he said if there was anything I wanted... needless to say the auction has closed on that one. :smooth:

I've got a couple...

1. A Mug (coffee/milk, etc) personalized with my name.. I got it
in January 1972. It's pretty worn.. I used it a LOT!

2. A map from a 1976 trip to WDW

3. A sweatshirt from 1986 with the original Epcot logo -also a 15 year
anniversary pin from 1986..

I'ts terrible -my DW and II are such packrats,,, our house is gonna explode!

A silver Tink lapel pin (Tink is standing on top of a silver mesh globe filled with tiny crystals to simulate pixie dust) that my 19-year-old sis brought back for me when she went to Disneyland for a day in 1966. She gave one of my other sisters the same pin in gold and that sis still has hers as well. Back then Disneyland was the only Disney theme park and it was the dream of any kid to go there.
