This is our second house (built the first one out of pocket) so when we sold #1 we had enough $$ to put down 1/3 of the total value of the house... plus pay off my car and a home equity loan we had out. Building the first one took 5 years.... but in the long run it was worth it. Our home will be paid off in 2010. Also we pay every 2 weeks.....

With insurance and taxes our monthly payment is just shy of $900.

We just moved in in March. We had a condo before this with a mortgage under $800. Now it's more than doubled!!!

$275.27!!!
Can't beat private financing with a friend! Will be paid off in 2 1/2 years, Woo Hoo!

Wow, I thought I had it low, principal interest and taxes $738.00. I couldn't rent a one bedrom apartment for that and I have 8 rooms, some people are lower.:D

LOL I didn't realize what I owe on my home would be cause for it's own thread.

Seeing your asking, we refinanced our home 20 years ago at that time we were paying $84.04. After refinancing our payments went up to $184.12. This is without taxes we pay them ourself. We are on the 19th year of a 20 year loan. I plan on making the final payment in December. :bounce:

Wow! I cant believe how low some of these are! You guys are so lucky! Now I can understand how people can afford to put a large percentage of their pay into retirement funds.

We were in a situation similar to Tony. DH had bought his mothers house. It was a small old house. Our payment was 800 something. Then we sold that house to move up(had to give some of the money to MIL:rolleyes: ), and bought a brand new home. Now our payment is almost double what were paying!

Our payment also includes taxes and we pay every two weeks. We are scheduled to pay off our house in 2015....then I'm retiring!

WOW; I agree with CamColt. We don't have many friends up in Mass. without mortgage payments of at least $2,000. Housing prices here are just through the roof. We pay $3500/month !!!!

750.00, includes taxes and insurance. We put a little over 1/2 down on it....12 years to go..... :teeth:
