I am lost when it comes to touring MGM. My (June) plan begins (and ends) with early arrival and straight to RnRC and TT. After that, I am confused...

I want to see the new Stunt Show, Millionaire, Star Tours and the Parade. I also really want to see Beauty and the Beast Stage Show but I'm worried I won't be able to sell it to the guys. Do guys pirate: like this show or is it strictly for the ladies princess: ??? On the maybe list are Muppets, Mermaid, Indy, the GMR as we have seen these before.

I plan to have lunch at 50sPT Cafe (I have a 12:15 PS, but am considering trying to change it to an earlier time. When I called, they hadn't yet opened up the earlier times). I would really like to take a mid-afternoon break back at the hotel so the kids will last through Fantasmic but I don't know how to fit it all in. I have an early 4:30 PS for FDP at H&V, but I really want to see the parade at 5:30. I plan to call at the 30 day window and try to change the dinner PS to 6:00 so we can eat after the parade. If I am succesful and we dine at 6:00, what could we realistically accomplish after dinner but before Fantasmic? I would expect to have about an hour to fill. What else is fun to do there? Our group consists of me, DH, DD8, DD2, DB, DSIL, DN8. I'm not planning on PlayHouse because DD2 dislikes Bear in the BBH :confused3 (can't imagine why???)

Please help me. I don't want to wander aimlessly. I have only been to MGM twice before but neither time did I feel like I had a "plan".

Thanks,

Keep in mind that MGM is relatively small and there are many indoor (climate controlled) activities. So, the kids (big and small) may not need a long rest. You should be able to see most of what the park has to offer without rushing.

We want to see similar things while we are there. I have no plan though. I figured with the shows Millionaire and Stunt Show we'll have to see what time it shows and work around that. I was told to get to Fantasmic 30 minutes before (we also got the dinner package) so if you only take 30min - 1 hour to eat you should have plenty of time to do stuff I would think.

I have seen that site. I was hoping maybe some DISers with personal experience might offer some insight. Maybe everyone has the same issues at MGM. Showtimes have such an impact.

Now that you mention it, I recall feeling that there were "gaps" in my plan after my first pass with the Touring Plan -- moreso than with any other park. For now, however, I'm OK with that because it's MGM.. I know we can split up on not worry too much about finding each other. I understand your concerns, however.

No helpful experience here, just an observation. We were just there during the week before Easter and it became apparent to me that Fastpasses should be an integral part of any successful MGM touring plan. Most of the popular shows have them. For the break between dinner and Fantasmic, I would try to get Fastpass for one of the 20 to 30 minute shows for a return time that covers the break.

Also, I think I will try to get work with Fastpasses such that, before I get into the standby line for an attraction, I go get Fastpasses for another attraction where the return time is shortly after I get out of the attraction that I wait in the standby line for. One problem may be that the return windows on the Fastpasses for some of the MGM attractions seem to only be about 15 minutes (compared to an hour at most of the MK attractions), so it may be tough to get the timing to work.

Good luck with your plans.
