We are doing our first vacation to California in May. I was wondering what everyones favortite souvenier to buy is, fav snack, restaraunt, basically what's your fav thing to purchase in Disney. We have been to wdw twice and we always get clam chowder soup. my fav souvenier is Precious moments. Can't wait to hear the response!:goodvibes

I love to buy the ears, I never got to go to DL as a kid, and to me, the ears were the symbol of the perfect souvenir. Now that is all I talk about to my kids - "We have to save our money so we can buy our ears!!" I am a dork but they love me anyway....:cool1:
As for food, I am in HEAVEN if I can get a Monte Cristo sandwich at the Blue Bayou restaurant. And I don't even know if this still exists, but there used to be a place to get ice cream right by the where the train stops behind NOS, and they had a flavor called "Fantasia" - it was basically all the ice cream flavors swirled together, and it was AWESOME! It has been near 20 years since I had one, though, so I could be talking ancient DL history.....

Me likes Sour Balls, Chimichangas, Gumbo Bowls, Chili Dogs, Frozen Bananas, Corn Dawgs, Dole Whips, and my favorite snacks are the Bengal BBQ Banyan Beef and Outback Veggie Skewers.

Gibson Girl ice cream too!

I got my girl a 2008 DL backpack and everywhere we go where she has it everyone just loves it, people always say positive things about it.

I personally like to collect any books that cover the historical aspects of the parks and I also like to collect the classic ride posters. I have a framed Haunted Mansion poster in my living room!

magnets, and souveniers to bring to friends.

My favorite restaurant is the french market. I love sitting and just relaxing over a nice lunch!

My favorite snack is the popcorn (i think its just the overpriced bucket that I love- haha!) and the cherry frozen lemonade. And the caramel apples. mmmm.

What I treasure most are my photos!!!

Dark chocolate Rocky Road to have with my coffee from the Market House on the end of Main St, popcorn with an icey cold Coca Cola while waiting in line for the HM, churros while waiting in line for IASW, caramel apple while, you guessed it, waiting in line for Splash, cafe mocha while watching the fireworks. I also like to buy the girls each a snowglobe and a sweatshirt for each of us. :goodvibes

A mocha and Cinnamon Swirl from the Blue Ribbon Bakery in the am :cutie: YUM!

I also just LOVE, love LOVE :lovestruc cashew turtles from the candy store.
OMGosh are those the BEST. My son couldn't find them for me on our trip last week. I sent him while the toddler & I napped.
Oh well. :sad1: Next time I will hunt them down myself!

Bengal BBQ was a new one I tried due to the recommendations here.
That hit the spot and was delicious. We tried all of them.

Gumbo bowl in NOS is fantastic also.

Have a GREAT trip!

eta: souvenirs vary each time we go. This year it was the pvc character playsets for dd(2) They had a cute Peter Pan one that we picked up.

Sadly, Fantasia ice cream is no longer available.

My favorite things to buy...hmm...I love to get a new t-shirt. As far as food goes, the large Rice Krispy treats (I bring them home in Ziplocs), fudge, cherry sour balls, a corn dog, a Dole Whip and popcorn.

EVERYTHING! :cool1: :lmao: :rotfl2:

as i come along way and obviously you can't buy the DL merchandise in the UK!

CAn you get the mickey mouse ear ice cream treat? That has become a fav of our wdw trips! i also always buy a snowglbe from wdw so hopefully i can find them at dl too! :tink: Not long till the magic begins!!!! May 16:simba:

Oh I almost forgot!!!! A chocolate covered frozen banana! That's what my mom and I always used to get when I was a kid, and I still have to get one at least once per trip.

I hear ya, those things are wicked! I actually came home and tried to make them but they just werent as good.

My favorite things to buy in Disneyland would have to be ears and pins. Ever since my first trip I've been addicted to collecting and trading them! And Dole Whip Floats! Those are my favorite

I have more than 1 favorite. LOL There are lots of things I enjoy buying at the parks. :) Pins are always fun, we have a lot of those. We don't really buy new ones unless something catches our eye, then we just snag them up. Clothes, we have a lot but I'm always looking at Pirate stuff, Princess stuff and Tink stuff. I also love NBC clothes, DBF and I have matching sweatshirts. :) Treats, gotta have a Tigger Tail and an Apple Pie caramel apple. mmmmmmmmmm Ice cream Mickey, I love those, DBF always gets a frozen banana and the kids switch off. Dole Whip is a must have too. Our favorite place to eat is BB, LOVE it!!!!!!! This talk is reminding me, I need to see if I can make us a few PSings for our trip that is coming up really quick...hopefully they will have seatings left for us.

Caramel Apples covered in peanuts, or almonds, or sprinkles, or cinnamon sugar, or chocolate!!!! Anyway, I can get them. Our whole family is hooked!!!!
I wanna go BACK!!!!
