What's the one thing that you do everytime you go that either:

a) Brings tears (of joy/happiness) to your eyes..

b) Makes you smile/laugh like a kid...

c) Makes you scream like a little girl...

d) Makes all life's troubles just disappear...

For me it's lots of little things. I just simply have to go straight to MK and walk through the railroad station, emerging from under the tunnel and see the castle at the end of Main Street. Then my vacation can begin. It's like "I'm home!".

I love to find a shady spot on World Showcase and people watch, or watch the ducks/flamingos.

I LOVE to watch the fountain in EPPCOT. Especially when it is choreographed to a Yanni song. It chokes me up. I get all misty.

I LOVE the "True Colors" pre-show for Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Again, makes me cry like a baby. I just adore the one photo of the chicken egg with all the little hash marks on the inside of the shell.

I LOVE walking up the line for Space Mountain and hearing that neat space age music and looking at the constellation windows that move as you pass them.

I LOVE riding the monorail. Even if it just going in a big circle aorund the LAgoon.

So what do YOU love?::yes:: ::MickeyMo

For me, it's most definitely our night at MGM...usually our second night when we spent a long hot day at the park and we finish up with dinner at the Brown Derby and Fantasmic. It's just such a comfortable, happy feeling it's hard to describe.

We also get this feeling on Main Street at MK...first thing in the morning we'll run over to the sweet shop and get a bag of jelly belly jellybeans. (Orange sherbet!!!) Then you can count on the glow through all the older rides...like Peter Pan, Snow White and IASM.

I am getting that longing feeling just typing this post.

for us it has to be small world its the one ride dd remembers from our paris trip last year and we are so sad it will be in rehab when we go, i think we would have made it our must do 1st ride
oh well maybe next time:earsgirl:

I love when I get off the plane in Orlando and get onto the momorail that takes you to the luggage. That guys voice brings me home everytime.
I also love stepping out into the warmth for the first time. We usually go fall/winter and getting to wear shorts in Nov. is the best feeling.
Of course our first ride is always the Jungle Cruise. We get a close up pic of DD each time we ride and her expression is always different. This time we have a DS too so that will be a moment I won't forget. I hope I get a good pic of them.

Turning onto WDW property and seeing the signs, then I know that my vacation has truely begun and I'm up for X number of days of fun :)

I have to go with turning onto the property and seeing those signs as well. :)

Twilight in MK or World Showcase. When all the lights / torches come on.

Breakfast at Crystal Palace.

Check in at the Polynesian.

The pool at the contemporary.

Walking around at Old Key West.

Watching performers on the Boardwalk.

Looking for pins.

Watching the kids in the fountain at DD.

Getting into an air-conditioned queue and out of the humidity.

My absolute favorite thing is when I first walk through the gates and get my first glimpse of Main Street. You get that feeling of being overjoyed, and I think, "Ahhh, I'm here!" No doubt that this December, I'll cry when I see my girls faces as we enter. That will be priceless.

Sitting on Main Street on one of the benches. I'm absolutely amazed everytime I do it and think "I could do this for eternity."

Walking onto Main Street and seeing the castle and when the Main Street singers come on their trolley and start singing "I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. " Just love it!!!

When I'm back home and get the credit card bill in the mail.

But really, its worth every penny!

Great answers everyone.

My favorite attraction which would fit a) in the OP is American Adventure at EPCOT. I love the music, especially "Two Brothers" the Civil War song and the photo montage near the end with "Golden Dreams" playing.

As for more general stuff:

I love to enter EPCOT and hear the background music coming from the bushes.

I love Main Street at nite.

I love riding Small World and thinking about my Dad - it was his favorite ride. I never get out of there with dry eyes.

I love eating Dole Whip.

So many people ask us how we can stand going to Disney every year (or twice a year). Those people just don't get it. There is nowhere else like it.

Seeing the entering Disney World sign, Making the turn on Main Street and see the Castle. The music at Epcot, the old TON and of course all the night shows. Mickey Ears Ice Cream on a hot afternoon, So many things.

The boat ride from the parkin lot of Magic Kingdom!!! Seeing Cinderella's Castle and Space Mountain!!!!

and Main Street at night is just awesome!!! Love it!!!

For one this is my first post. To answer the question I would have to say it is when I see Space Mountain and the Castle in the distance while riding over on the ferry. Really nice on a summers day when the sun is out. Plus then you have time to think of all the memories you have had.....it's a rush for me and my fiance.:earseek:

I start to get the feeling when I see those purple road signs....THEN things build up when we check into our resort, my BIG moment of I AM HERE is when I turn the corner onto Main Street USA and look at that castle and soak up the view whihle dodging runaway strollers and magical gatherings of 35 or more.....but one of my favorite corny silly sounding traditions is getting a double cheeseburger at Cosmic Rays and sitting outside with the castle right there....one of the things I always look forward to.
The OLD fireworks ALWAYS made me cry...when the announcer came on and said and now for our Grand Finale and those fireworks WENT OFF OOHHH I just got chills thinking about it...I like Wishes but its not the same for me.:p

I love coming into MK first thing in the morning when everyone is excited and the air is fresh. We will often get breakfast at the Main Street Bakery and then take it down to the tables near the stream in front of the Castle. We can't get enough of just sitting there watching the "World" go by. As people rush to their favorite attractions we people watch, eat breakfast and sometimes enjoy a family of ducks who come by to see if we will feed them. (We don't, but it's hard not to.)

There are some pretty agressive birds there, by the way. One time one of the them was clearly mad at me for trying to wave him away, and when I turned my head, he flew over and grabbed a piece of whatever I was eating right out of my hand!

Just the feeling of having all the time in the world to soak it all in is great!::MinnieMo
