We are going for our 2nd trip and staying at All Star Movies. I have planned out our trip and all of our CS and TS credits will be in the parks.

I have one TS left, though, and we want to go visit a Deluxe or Moderate resort just to see one and have a good, 1 credit TS dinner. It will also be the week before Christmas, so any that would have worthwhile decor would be a bonus.

p.s. We've already seen the Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary.

Thanks!

The Grand Floridian has some spectacular decorations for the holidays, including a huge tree and gingerbread house. I can't speak for the 1 credit TS restaurants there, but you would have the Grand Floridian Cafe and then Park Fare to choose from. Also the Beach and Yacht Club have some neat decorations as well. That would give you the options of Cape May Cafe, Beaches and Cream and Captain's Grille. HTH

also, anyof the boardwalk restaurants are an easy walking distance to yachtand beach club. an the boardwalk lobby had nice decor, also.
Kouzzinas is closed that week, I'm pretty sure. also Big River Grille, takes the DDP, but you have to call them directly to make a reservation.

we ate once at Grand Floridian Cafe and found it to be very nice and good food. an easier reservation to get, too.

AKL is supposed to be really pretty at christmas, although it's a little harder to get to. Bomas in 1 TS credit. plus you get to see the animals at the savannah!

Another vote for the Grand Flordian and the Cafe there. Fabulous decorations; lobby music; you could do a monorail ride through the 3 MK resorts, and if you time it right, you could watch MK fireworks and the Water Parade from the beach. And meals at the GF Cafe are lovely.

Thanks! But can you see the animals at night? There's a 7:55 pm reservation available...

I did not think you could see the animals from Boma - I heard you could from Saanan but not Boma:confused3

i would recommend either GFC or 1900PF at the Grand Floridian. GF has great decorations!

I ended up going with the Grand Floridian Cafe. The menu looked interesting (especially the burger!)

Sunset is at 5:30 or so, so seeing any animals at AKL probably wouldn't happen.

Thanks for the advice!

you cannot see them from the restaurant. but before dinner, you could walk through the lobby out to the main savannah look out area.
although not all rooms ahve a savannah view, everyon either staying at AKlodge or visiting it can view the animals from this area. (there are also a couple viewing areas behind the pool, but the area I mentioned is the better area.)

If you get a window seat at Sanaa - it's a lovely experience to look out at the animals while you're having your meal.

There were animals that day. :surfweb:

when I said you couldn't see the animals from the restaurant, I meant Bomas. you can see them(possibly) from saaanas. either way, you can still see the animals.. even if you dont' eat there at all, and just visit.

great view! did you like the food at saanas?

On the first - I know you did.

The food was okay. However, I probably only am so hard on the review because I eat Indian on a regular basis. Could live on it. I ADORE Indian food - so it's WDW - probably toned down for the masses.

Have fun and enjoy the Grand Flordian!:goodvibes

You could take the boat over to FW later and see all the camper's Christmas decorations.
