So I'm trying to plan some fun places to go eat on our vacation. Snack, Dinner, etc... I've made a list of places I want to go to while we're in Los Angeles area. I'm a manger of a Steak House, so yes I'm a foodie.
We might not be able to hit all of these but here's my list so far.

1. Farrell's Ice Cream parlor
2. Crab Cooker (Newport Beach)
3. Original Hot Dog on a stick(near Santa Monica pier)
4. Round Table Pizza
5. Winchell's donut house
6. Knots Berry Farm (To-go) Chicken Dinner
7. Hard Rock Cafe (since one is still open I worked here in my college days)

Im sure some might say why not In-n-Out!? But I lived literally right next door to one a while ago. I smelled those yummy burgers while walking my dog nightly for 4 years. Lol. Anything else you might recommend?

I was born and raised in Anaheim...and one of the spots I have to hit up when I am in the area is Cortina's Italian Market. The cross streets are Brookhurst and Orange...as a bonus...there is an In-N-Out across the street.

Both the Yardhouse and Fire and Ice.
Also throw in Dave and Busters for the fun and food is ok.

Fried chicken at Knott's is a must. Preferably with a side of rhubarb, mashed potatoes & gravy, and their famous biscuits.

Fire and Ice, ESPN and Cheesecake, just because we do not have one close to us where we live.

If you're range is all of LA, I could have a million suggestions for you. I use to sell industrial equipment to restaurants and have seen way to many kitchens in my lifetime.

I'll just list my favorite steakhouses for you
STK, Nick And Steffs, Cut, BOA

And a few of my other favorites all over the place

1. Alcove (A ten times better Dennys/IHOP in Silverlake, down the street from Griffith Observatory, lots of great ice creams places in this area as well)
2. Bludsos (BBQ, Original in Compton is tops but the Mid LA one is also very good)
3. Bestia (Italian in Downtown)
4. Norah (American in Hollywood)
5. Red O (Mexican Food in Hollywood)
6. Stout (Burgers in Hollywood)
7. Eggslut (Food with eggs in Downtown at Grand Central Market)

Last time we went to Knotts we got the chicken dinner take out and I literally drank the gravy.. omg could do it again now...

we like to hit Bubba Gumps one night of our trip.. its a fun place with good food.. the onion strings are really good.

For really good authentic Mexican food, try Los Sanchez in Anaheim. We also love Super Mex. They have one in Cypress, Belmont Shore, and Sunset Beach.

As far as your list. I really like Mrs. Knott's fried chicken, Farrell's, and The Crab Cooker. Hard Rock is like Denny's with a cool theme. I think their food is terrible. I like Round Table's pizza.
