Contemporary Tower.

I like that it was one of the original WDW hotels....like the history and unique architecture. LOVE the huge rooms with great views on either side of the tower. Love the lake and recreational areas. Love the monorail station INSIDE so you can wait for the train in climate controlled environment. Love the dining options. Love the room layout, especially the huge bathrooms.

Tried GF and it was okay, but I prefer the "under one roof" Deluxes. Being stuck in our outer building room at GF for hours during nasty thunderstorms was awful. There is no way to get back to the main building without being out in the open. Hated that. Also hated having to walk back and forth all the time from room to main building, plus the beach pool was a long walk away as well.

Poly does nothing for me. Have no desire to ever stay there.

Poly because of the laid back atmosphere. Contemporary (including BLT) always felt like a cold, big city hotel. GF feels too stuffy for me.

I've stayed at both the Poly and the Contemporary. I love the whole atmosphere at the Poly--especially after coming back after a busy park day. The sounds, the smells, the flowers--it's all so relaxing. The volcano slide and splash area was a huge hit with my kids. I am a foodie, and I personally love the nachos at Capt. Cooks that have pulled pork and other stuff on top. I try to make it by there regardless of whether I'm staying there or not. Kona Cafe offers a great and very reasonable breakfast which is important for ppl not using the dining plan.

I also love the fact that you can walk to the TTC and get directly to Epcot- without transferring. And it's been a while, but for some reason, it just seemed so much easier to get on the monorail with a double stroller from the Poly than the Contemporary. You have to elevator to the 4th floor (I think) at the Contemporary and that took some time and then once you're up there it was like a single file line. It was just cumbersome compared to the Poly, and the Contemporary didn't offer anything that I felt like I needed to return for.

We have stayed at them all, including the WL and our favorite is the GF. There is so much that we love about it, but some of it is the room size and decor. The overall atmosphere at the resort is truly "resorty". The CM's are magical (especially the bell service twins). I love the courtyard pool, and swimming there is like being in a beautiful bubble.

We can't wait to get back there for 9 nights in August! :cloud9:

Aw I forgot about Wilderness Lodge.

I voted GF, but it's really a toss up between GF and WL for me. GF is gorgeous, not a bad view from any room, monorail plus lots of great restaurants. WL is also amazingly gorgeous, relaxing, great food and the price point is SO much better than the other MK resorts!

I love Wilderness Lodge during the Christmas time its so pretty. I wish the monorail went over there too.

CR for me. I actually like that it’s the least “themed”. I still get a kick out of seeing the monorail come through the hotel. Being able to walk to MK (or in the early morning being able to run down and back) is a big plus. Besides being able to watch the fireworks at CG I also like the 4th floor observation deck. When having a bay view I like being able to watch the electric water pageant from the balcony.

I like all three but CR is my favorite for all of the things you list above. I do however, like the Poly but it is certainly second on my list.

Electric Water Pageant is a tradition for us...what a great way to end the evening.

Love, love, love Poly. Love the resort music and relaxed atmosphere. I also love the walk to TTC. It is my fave!
CR would be second. We love the walk to MK and the monorail. One day I want to stay in the tower.
GF was nice but not a favorite. Maybe if we stayed in the main building. I didn't like the feeling of being in the outer buildings. It's funny that that doesn't bother me at Poly??
Haven't stayed at WL but would like to one day.

We’ve stayed at all the MK resorts except CR. I love them all, but have to say GF is at the top of my list. Beautiful grounds, nice choice of restaurants, comfortable rooms, good transportation, very relaxing resort. I think most people who think it’s stuffy haven’t stayed there.

We've stayed at BLT, Poly, GF, and WL. WL wins for us as we love the theming and find it more relaxing than the others. We also enjoy the boat ride over to MK.

We are DVC members and have stayed at BLT, GF, WL, and Poly. I voted for the Poly bc of the quiet pool, proximity to TTC, and laid back atmosphere. I am torn because we have been much more impressed with the cast members at the GF villas than we have with the Poly CMs.
