What kiosks are not to miss at EPCOT's Food and Wine?

This will be out First Food and Wine.

1) Best Kiosk Food
2) Best Kiosk Dessert
3) Best Wine or Beer or Specialty Drink
4) Best Value Item

I went for the first time last year. I loved it, but did not spend a ton of time at the kiosks because I was with friends. I really enjoyed the Cheddar Cheese Soup from Canada though. I've heard their Ice Wine is also incredible.

Until the full list of items comes out and you've tried the new selections, it's a bit hard to choose a favorite, isn't it?

Our family loves the Food & Wine festival.

Everything I have ever tried, with the exception of the cod cake and port from Portugal, has been wonderful.

My DD's favorites:
-non alcoholic drink - Mexico's Jungle Juice
-America's Maine Lobster Roll
-Canada's Beer Cheese Soup
-France?? Chocolate Covered Strawberries

DH loved sampling ALL the beers and often brags to his friends that he drank himself around the world.

Personally, I love sipping the champagne as a stroll around the world.

Tip- Purchase Disney Gift Cards (available in any of the gift shops in WDW) and this will eliminate all the small bills and change you have at the end of the evening. Also helps when you are trying to balance a plate and drink while paying.

Have a wonderful time and don't forget to check out the demostrations, they're free! Guest chefs and wine tastings!!!

The menus change every year, and I don't think the full meanus are out yet, since they seem to be much smaller then last years, so I think they may add more items. It would be very difficult to pick favorites considering those two things, however, my favorite desserts last year were tied between the maple custard with almond crumble from the Canada booth and the spice cake from the South Africa booth, and my favorite entree item was the chicken skewers from the South Africa booth. I also really liked the crab cake and buffalo from the American booths.

As others said until the menus come out it's tough to choose. Also favorites are very individual. My DH and I don't have the same favorites. For what it's worth our favorites are:

Lamb chops at Australia, Bastilla at Morocco, Escargot in Brioce at France
Baklava anywhere you can get it
Dr. L Riesling

We like to try things we have never tried before, so we try everything I can eat (allergies). For us, the point is to learn something , to explore and expand what we know.

a little off topic here sorry....

does any of the foods take the dde card or dining plan snacks??

No to DDE card, yes to Dining plan snack credits for food items. People have reported that they were allowed the Lobster roll for a snack credit, it was priced at $6.75 last year.

Can't choose a favorite without a 2008 list. While somethings will be the exact same from year to year, many are changed up a bit and some items will be completely new. Wines/beers are also changed up a bit.

Favorite Food items from last year were, Grilled beef w/ Chimichuri sauce, Spicy Beef Empanada, Spaetzle, Grilled Lamb Chop, Bastilla, and the ever popular Cheddar Cheese Soup (portion is too small IMO).

Favorite dessert from last year's menu was Lucuma Mousse but it isn't on the menu this year. From the items reported so far for this year I would have to say the Chocolate Creme Brulee(they didn't serve it last year). There are a few new desserts listed that I'm interested in trying.

I don't purchase wine or beer at the booths as I get my fill from the free seminars.

Best value out of what I tasted (and paid for) last year was probably the Bastilla. Actually the best value because they are free are any of the free Food demos or Free Wine tasting Seminars and if you are into Sam Adams Beer the Free seminar they offer numerous times each day.

Keep in mind that everyone has different tastes and what some consider an ample tasting size portion others find way too small for the prices being charged.

This will be our 3rd time at F&W. By far..... my favorite item is at the Argentina food booth. It is the Grilled Beef with Chimichurri. It is a very tender slice of beef resting on some mashed potatos with a salsa type topping on the meat (chimichurri). I was so very pleased to see that it will be offered again this year. Looking forward to October!!!

PS: There are many other very good items, but the Grilled Beef just really stands out in my mind.l

where can we find the listing for this year, I know they are not out yet, but someone mentioned something not being on the menu for this year and f&W being smaller this year

Tip- Purchase Disney Gift Cards (available in any of the gift shops in WDW) and this will eliminate all the small bills and change you have at the end of the evening. Also helps when you are trying to balance a plate and drink while paying.

This is a great tip, however, be sure to have some cash on you for when the credit card machines inevitably go down and you're standing there while the CM swipes your card, and swipes it, and swipes it, while the drunks behind you start getting restless and loud! No, I'm not talking from experience or anything...

Thats a tough one since they are usually different kiosks every year. If you want a ton of pics and reviews click on my Oct link

Oh God, they're going to LOVE me in Oct. It's the first time we've done WDW in Oct. and the F &W festival so I am PSYCHED!! Just reading some of the menu items makes me so hungry. It's going to be interesting if the Boston kiosk is there because I'll be very critical. LOL :rotfl: Although they can keep the crab cakes. Ick. I'll take the lobster roll.
Ironically, the Ireland kiosk is where my family's from. Cool!!! :wizard:

My favorite is the maple salmon at Canada. I have been there the last 4 or 5 years and it has been on the menu every year so I hope it is there again.
