We're booked for a trip in December...so help distract me while I'm waiting by telling me which tower you'd choose! (2 adults and 2 DDs 20 and 18... so noise no problem!):worship:

I've only stayed in the Fantasy and the Adventure towers, but of those two I prefer Adventure. It is slightly closer to Downtown Disney and the views are, in my opinion, better. Rooms in Adventure tend to be in the higher price classes, but there are standard rooms available (I think; I know that I've had rooms in Adventure that I paid standard rates for, but they may have upgraded me without mentioning it).

Fantasy is more conveniently located to the hotel's amenities, though, and I don't think either is a bad choice.

From a totally childish point of view, Adventure. Yes, it has more premium view rooms (I'm a sucker for a view)--but Adventureland theming is by far my favorite of the three! As I said, it's a childish reason....but there you go.

If I don't have reservations for a view room, I try to get Adventure because it's the only one without parking lot views. If I'm wanting something high energy and I have a view room, I like Fantasy. Actually Fantasy is probably my favorite; I just like being where the action is. We've done Frontier two or three times; it's great for a quieter stay as long as you have a view room.

I'm considering picking this hotel for my first trip to Disneyland. Are the rooms and hallways decorated to match these themes? Looking at the pictures on Disney's website it looks like the rooms are the same maybe? except for the suites. Just curious if it makes a difference which tower you are in.

I'm considering the same thing right now. I liked the idea of staying in the Fantasy tower until I saw this Youtube clip showing their view at 1:30. The view isn't huge for me, but this one is particularly awful. It's a view of the canopy over the entrance.

I'm thinking I'll ask for the Adventure tower.

I always request the Fantasy tower. We like how close it is to the pool, gift shop and DTD. But mostly because we always get a standard view and everytime we can see the fireworks from our room. We have stayed on the 11th and 7th floors. We put our pjs on, get our snacks ready, turn the TV to the fireworks music channel and we are very happy campers!

We like the Fantasy as it is where the gift shop and lobby are. We are not fans of the Frontier tower because it is a farther walk to the parks, gift shop etc; however, some people love the Frontier tower because it is closer to Trader Sams, and is also close to a pool entrance. We do pay for the pool view- so I do not have experience with the standard rooms (we have been adverse to standard rooms since we spent our honeymoon at WDW, at WL with trucks with back up beeps picking up dumpsters at around 5:00 a.m. every day).

We have stayed in all three towers over the years. Frontier Tower is the quietest, great pool view. Fantasy Tower has the most extras, the main hotel lobby, character meet n greets, business center, gift shop, access to Goofy's & Steakhouse 55 & The Coffee Shop. Adventure Tower is the closest to DTD and the noisiest if you get a DTD view on the weekends. The bands in DTD are LOUD and play til 11:00 or 12:00 at night sometimes. We have stayed on the pool side of the Adventure Tower and not had any problems with noise from DTD. :magnify::mic:

We have stayed in the Fantasy and Frontier Tower. The room at the Fantasy Tower was at the very end of the hallway, by far the longest walk ever when coming and going to the park. The Frontier Tower we stayed one time in a standard room with a parking lot view and another time we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite and had amazing views of the fireworks at night. My husband likes the Frontier Tower because it is closest to Trader Sam's. Super easy for him to run and get us drinks while I stay in the room with the kids when they are sleeping at night.

Adventure Tower all the way... Here is the lobby of the Adventure Tower. We had a great DTD view:

Make as many "requests" as you like for room location. Make sure you ask for above the palm tree's, so like for 6 and above, if requesting the DTD side of the Adventure tower... good luck. Its my favorite hotel!

Thanks everyone! Loving this feedback! thanks for the photos too... it's all really helpful. Keep those suggestions coming!

That's good to know... we have standard rooms at this point. So this looks good too....

OK, it really depends. I really like the Frontier tower. And I like the Adventure tower. Issue I have with Adventure tower is if you are on a lower floor, and facing DTD(and parks) the noise of the DTD bands can keep you awake. The Frontier tower is closer on your walk back if you come thru the Grand. (We often do.) The only reason I don't like the Fantasy Tower is we travel with my daughter's service dog, and it is a longer walk to take them out in the early morning. My sisters and brother like Fantasy.

I like Adventure, Fantasy, and Frontier in that order. Frontier standard rooms can be pretty hideous, with the parking lot directly outside and the noise of service vehicles. The pool side is much nicer and now with Trader Sam's etc nearby, it's not so bad. It's still a long trek to the main tower (Fantasy) but it has some nice big rooms in some areas, including balcony rooms on the ends. All of the other balconies at DLH were removed.

Adventure is definitely the one you want if you go with concierge since that's where the lounge is. If I stay concierge I try my best to be on the lounge floor. Adventure is by far my favorite tower; when I book a standard room I ask for Adventure tower (which isn't guaranteed, of course, but I usually get it). A standard room in Adventure means you are either on a lower floor or have a blocked view. Usually you can still see DTD or the pool but either from a lower level or through palm trees. Much, much better than a parking lot plus you walk out the door and you're in DTD. Fantasy can be great because it's the lobby tower and has easy access to most things, but it's older and there are some funky sized rooms here and there.

That's been my experience in the past too! And thanks for the tip about concierge too... we won't take that step this time, but it's really helpful to know for the future.

I *think* there are only 4-5 regular rooms on the lounge floor. The lounge floor also is the location of the Mickey Mouse Penthouse, which takes up about a 1/3 of one side of the floor, the Big Thunder suite, the Adventureland Suite, the Pirates of the Caribbean suite and Fairy tale suite, and a couple 1 bedroom suites. In addition, there are 2 king rooms (one is very small) and I believe 2 double queens rooms. So it is very limited on the lounge floor.

Yes, that's right. I've always been lucky enough to get a room up there, though! And we're a family of 5. Of course, 'always' means twice ha ha plus twice in the Fairy Tale Suite.

*edited to add that there weren't 5 of us in the FT suite, which is for 2 people.

Only stayed once. Booked a standard room so I requested Fantasy tower for closer location to DtD. No regrets!
