If you were to pick one counter service meal on the DDP, where would you go? Include all parks and hotels, as well as DTD. Who offers the best quality/quantity for your dining plan price? List multiples if you can't decide!

I found somewhere in the MK that had baked potatoes that you could load with a variety of options. After all the same old, same old choices, it was the best baked potato I'd had in forever!

Toss up between Casey's Corner, Wolfgang Puck's Express (the Marketplace) and Tangerine Cafe in Morocco.

The QS in the Contemporary is tied with the PepperMarket for a close Fourth/Fifth

Hands down best food quality and value would be Wolfgang Puck Express (WPE) in DTD.

For the parks...Sunshine Seasons in EP and a distant next would be Cosmic Ray's in MK.

I'll second Tangerine Cafe in Epcot- World Showcase. Also Sunshine Seasons in Epcot- Future World. We also really like Earl of Sandwich in DTD.

Is Earl still on the DDP? I've heard otherwise... I'm going there regardless on the 8th- last day of the Holiday Sandwich!

Tops for us is the create your own pasta at POR. Your order what type of noodle, sauce, and select from a decent list of add in meats, veggies, shrimp etc. Portions are more than enough for the hungriest. Boat ride from DTD to POR is a nice relaxing break as well.

Sunshine seasons at Epcot is excellent as is Wolf Gang Pucks. Pepper Market at Coronado and Tangerine Cafe are both very good.

Thank you everyone who's replied so far! We're doing the DDP this time around and I want to take my family somewhere new and worthwhile :) seems to be a lot of people on the same page!

My top three: Tangeriene Cafe, Earl of Sandwich (it is listed as participating in the DDP for 2012) and it was a toss up between Flame Tree and Pecos Bills for number 3.

Lots of other good spots too: Columbia Harbor House, Yorkshire fish and chips...I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones that quickly came to mind.

I have yet to eat at WPE and I'm going to have make that a "must do" for the next trip..

We especially enjoy Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD, Captain Cook's at the Poly, Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland, Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square, Flame Tree BBQ in AK, Tangierine Cafe in Morocco Pavilion, La Boulangerie Patisserie in France Pavilion, Sunshine Seasons Food Fair in the Land Pavilion, and the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs (order the Steak Ranchero). Disney does a great job with quick service dining, IMO. They are mostly wonderfully themed and many have some very unique offerings. Most of the ones I mentioned offer something very different from your average theme park food. Cosmic Rays and Flame Tree aren't that unique, but they have HUGE portions that could easily be split for 2 people, or 2 orders for 3 people. There are so many other places we want to try, especially at the resort!

We don't really care too much for any particular CS place in HS, but Starring Rolls has filling sandwiches and delicious cupcakes (all their desserts are great), and Studio Catering Company has a pretty good and filling Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries. Those are the best we have found there, anyway.

Oh, sorry, you said pick one! Well, I'd have a hard time picking between Wolfgang Puck and Captain Cook's...I'd probably go with CC, since it's at the Poly!

Ours is definately Wolfgang Puck Express. It's much more like a table service restaurant and has great food and lots of variety. We just returned from free CS dining and ate there 4 nights.

We love Contempo Cafe :thumbsup2 Last year I was addicted to their Marinated Beef Flatbreads. I swear I made DH go get me one almost every night after DD was asleep. Well not every night but I think I ate 6 at least:lmao:

Our favorite counter service is in Germany. We must have our brats and beer. The apple strudel is pretty good too.

I would have to say Sunshine Season's in EPCOT has the best selection...something for everyone. I also like sandwiches at Starring Rolls in DHS...and it doesn't hurt that the meal comes with a cupcake for dessert...:lmao:

Bang for the buck (we don't do the DDP)--AK Restaurantasaurus (or something). Double burgers, huge topping bar (like Pecos Bills), side, maybe a drink--and they have self-serve drinks!!!!!!!!!

We are not too picky, but we would generalize to say that we have trouble finding food at DHS. Though the burger at the commissary is okay, but no topping bar, and how many burgers can a guy eat?

Everyone's suggestions are great! Pretty much something at every location.
