Hi all! I'd love to hear what your daily podcast listening schedule is like. IF you're like me, then you probably devour the Dis Unplugged podcasts in one day... which doesn't help me with my Disney fix for the rest of the week. Here is my current podcast listening schedule.. I'd love to hear yours so that I can get some new ideas and keep the Disney Magic coming every day!!

Sunday: None
Monday: WDW Today and WDW Radio Show
Tuesday: None
Wednesday: Dis Unplugged, WDW Today
Thursday: Dis Unplugged
Friday: WDWNT, WDW Today
Saturday: None

As you can see I have at least three days without something to listen to. I've tried stretching out what I have already and sometimes it works, but many times it doesn't. I would love to hear some new podcast suggestions that I could add to the list!

I'm probably looking for something that is more for the Disney fan than the newbie...less trip planning and more park history or something like that.

I mostly listen to the DISUnplugged, but last week I found a new one that is pretty good so far. It's the MouseChat podcast, I think it started late last year. It's mostly park stuff, but they do some fun segments and last week they had Jim Hill on which was interesting.

The only other one I listen to is Laughing Place's podcast. It is very sporadic. Sometimes they do 3 a month, sometimes none, but I like it because they talk about everything Disney from the parks, to Disney movies, video games, ect...Since they don't have a set schedule I don't always remember to check for new shows, so sometimes when I check there will be 2 or 3 new shows which I kinda like, keeps me busy in-between DIS shows.

Thanks for the heads up on Jim Hill being on MouseChat. The only other disney podcast I list to is Magical Definition - because Jim Hill is on it.

I download a week's worth of Disney Podcasts on Sunday from Itunes. The following are my current favorites...

Of Course The Dis Unplugged
WDW Today
Be Our Guest WDW Podcast
Betamouse
Inside the Magic
Laughing Place
Mouse Lounge
Mouse Chat
Passporter's Disney and Beyond
WDW Radio Show

I don't know how I would make it each week without them...:)

WOW! I didn't realize there were so many available! Something else I thought of for a quick Disney fix is a free online Disney magazine. It's called WDWNT: The Magazine and you can download it on PDF or just read it on the website. They've put a couple of articles I wrote in it about dining with kids...always an adventure! LOL

I don't have a structured schedule for listening.
I listen in the car- and my work travel schedule is always different each day/week. Some of my trips are up to 2.5 hrs long, so I like to have plenty to listen to!

DIS Unplugged- I love when there are extra long shows!!
WDW Radio
WDW Today
WedWay Radio- I recently started listening to this one and am catching up on old shows- great for Disney history fans.
Intercot Insider
Inside the Magic
Betamouse (Disney tech)
Season Pass- if their topic is Disney related

Also- NPR's Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me.

If I'm out of podcasts- I listen to audiobooks or music.

The only Disney podcast I listen to is The DIS Unplugged. I save them for my training runs on the treadmill. When I don't have a DIS Unplugged episode to listen to, I like Stuff You Missed in History, Desert Island Discs, and the old-time radio programs, like Sherlock Holmes, Dragnet, and Agatha Christie mysteries.

My DH also likes the Stuff You Missed in History Class podcast.

Also- NPR's Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me.

I love Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me! My favorite episode is when they had Bill Clinton on and they quizzed him about My Little Pony! :rotfl:

I also enjoy listening to NPR's "This American Life." I also occasionally listen to Dan Savage's "Strange Love."

The Dinner Party Download and the Pop My Culture podcast are also pretty good.

My commute is about an hour each way, so I'm always looking for new podcasts to add into the rotation.

I am not trying to be a kiss-up but I have sampled some other podcasts and I didn't enjoy them that much. I am afraid that the DIS Unplugged has spoiled me.

wait wait wait........there are other Disney podcasts out there??? Huh who knew :lmao:

I usually listen to and from work but not while I'm driving as I have other passengers who don't really care for that kind of stuff :confused3. So I get in about 20 mins a day with my walk to and from the carpark and the office and then finish the rest on the weekend when I'm cleaning house. I hate cleaning but the podcast sure helps :thumbsup2

The others I listen to are;

Podcastle - Sci-fi/Fantasy short stories
Psuedopod - Horror short stories
MuggleCast - Everything Harry Potter
Radio K.A.L - Everything on my other favorite fictional character.....Superman :)

The only Disney podcasts I listen to are the DIS (the WDW one) one and the one with Len Testa on it - the one that did the Zombie invasion show - forget the name. I have listened to others on occasion, but those are the two I like.

On a rare occasion, I'll listen to the Lou Mongello one, but I never make it all the way through. It's really great, but just a wee bit too "slick" (for lack of a better word) for me after a while.

That Zombie Invasion show was hilarious! I listen to that one, also, but I hate it when they don't know the answers to listener questions. DIS is my fave. I've tried most of the others and don't listen to them regularly. Only of there is a particular topic that interests me.

I'll listen to a few others on occasion but not a regular basis. Some are just to scripted sounding and the person is just reading an article. A few others, like Mousechat are better since the hosts do banter a bit but I must say I didn't care for the Jim Hill show. He just came across as a pompous donkey to me for some reason.

I only listen to the Dis podcast, but normally never get around to it until Thursdays since I'm usually at work when it gets posted. I listen to and from work, so sometimes I'll be listening well into Friday. Makes the commute enjoyable when I'm not in the mood for music.

I like hearing from Jim Hill on the Magical Definition podcast because he has good info, but his co-host . . . yikes.

Yeah, Jim Hill can sometimes come off a little pompous, but his information is usually good.

My podcast list consists of Dis Unplugged (of course), WDW News Today, Disneyland News Today, D23 Armchair Archivist (video cast), The Bill Simmons Report (ESPN), Straight Dope, and Stuff You Missed in History Class. Based on this thread, I'm going to give WEDway Radio a try.

Every so often I'll try Inside the Magic or WDW Radio Show, but honestly, between The DIS and WDW News Today, I get the information I want to hear, and the delivery is much better. I prefer my Disney podcasts to be unbiased and not simply a rehash of Disney marketing.

I only listen to DisUnplugged. when I first started listening to Disney podcasts, I tried a few, but after listening to the Dis "Intro Show" I just felt like I liked this crew the most. In March, I d/l all the archives, so when I'm nit listening to the newest show, I'm listening to an old one. I'm up to Feb 08 right now, so I have a lot more to go to catch up!

I only listen to the DIS Unplugged. I haven't found another show (or had a need to) that I enjoy.
