What's Your Biggest Pet Peeve at Disney World?

I was at MK thios past weekend and the park was not very crowded with all the rain. We were at Philharmagic and this family had sat in the middle of a row and wouldn't move down and the cast member said something to them a number of times. Finally she got up and told the people in that row to stop moving. She wouldn't let anone come around them and she personally lead them over to the end of the row where they were supposed to sit and informed them that they had been told not to sit in the middle and that it was dangerous for people to try and cross over them. It was the first time I had ever seen this rule enforced.

By the way sunday was so uncrowded at EPCOT i couldn't believe it.

I have to say that my pet peeve is also with people in wheelchairs that don't need them. I hate nothing more than watching some young kid go straight to the front of the line, and then bounce right out of the wheelchair to the next awaiting doonbuggie...ugh!!!! People should be thankful that they are able to walk around WDW on thier own and don't have to depend on a wheelchair- those people who haev to depend on wheelchairs and the like would give anything to be able to walk on Splash Mountain!

p.s. Scubamouse, we are going to be at the WL with you in November-- Nov 28-Dec 4 for us :thumbsup2

But sometimes the disability is unseen......

pet peeve.....

flabby people in tiny clothes two sizes too small............ewwwwwwwwww

Cast members who aren't all on the same page. Nothing like wasting two hours being sent from CM to CM who all say something different just trying to get on a single ride.

I'm going to have my husband with MS bounce into you next time. You have no idea how many people gave us nasty looks because they couldn't see that he was sick. Sound good?

I hate it when people think that adults or teenagers have no right to get an autograph or a picture with a character!
I was in a long queue the other week in MK for Timon. I was patiently waiting with my autograph book, I was second in line and we were told that Timon would have to go away after seeing me.
But then some little kid comes running up to Timon from the BACK of the line and goes to hug him etc.
Everyone turns around to see where this kid came from, and his parents are just stood there with his stroller and they say, "Well he's there already, he may as well just take his pic now". :sad2: It made me so mad! I'm just glad the CM sent the kid back to his parents...
Why do you have to be so rude? Tell me where there is a rule that adults or teenagers can't get a picture or autograph taken with characters? I am 21 years old & I still like to get my picture taken with them. I don't get autographs, but even if I wanted there is no rule that says I can't. It's people like who think Walt Disney World belongs to themselves. Well news flash it's not just for little kids, have you heard of Pleasure Island, Jellyrolls Victorian Alberts & other things made for adults? So they say adults & teenagers can't have their picture & autograhps with characters is rude. I would never run up to a character after they have to leave, to say they should not see the characters because of 1 kid is no reason to ruin it for everyone else & say what you said. I agree it's wrong but there are worse things in life.

um I think that was the point. They waited in line for an autograph (being an adult) and someones child from WAAY back in the line hopped in when it was their turn. They werent being rude...the parents of the child were being rude for thinking that their little Bobby has more right to see the characters than the other people who have been patiently and courteously waiting *in Line* to see the characters

I appologize to hogwartsdropout, I read that comment the wrong way. I thought they were saying adults & teenagers should not be allowed to have pictures & get autograhps with characters. (thinking it's what they thought) If it was written like "why do parents of younger kids" or something like that, I never would have said what I said. So once again I am sorry & just read what you wrote the wrong way.

Smoking in the nonsmoking areas! Rudeness!
Time flies too fast at WDW!

In defense of ECV drivers, my MIL and FIL rented them on our last trip - one for mobility trouble and the other has heart problems - they had a hard time driving them. Sometimes inexperience causes people to be bad drivers, not meanness. My in-laws were mortified everytime they hit something. Thank goodness they did not hit people! But not apologizing for hitting someone is just rude!

1. People who never met DEODERANT!

2. People who pass gas in a crowded room.

3. People who dont make sure the toilet flushes when they are done.

4. People who dont clear off their tables at CS places when they are done.

Oh, as an ex-smoker, I'm going to add one related to that . . . non-smokers harrassing smokers who ARE in the smoking area. Disney picked the spots, not the smokers, and if they are following the rules and you don't like it, complain to Disney about the smoking area placement, not the smokers for using it.

My biggest pet peeve is parents who think their kids should be first in line for everything even if that means cutting in front of other people in line... :furious:

I just can't stand it when I over hear other guest say (while walking around in Epcot) " I thnk we're going to Disney tomorrow " LOL, where do they think there at, give me a break. I heard that phrase many times my last trip.

I can't stand rude people who don't know how to walk without knocking you down.

I can't believe no one has mentioned my biggest pet peeve yet. And I am sure that it is so evident that many of you just take it for granted.

The OBVIOUS biggest pet peeve that should be on everyone's list is that DisneyWorld is not near the SW portion of Fort Worth Texas!

Come on people, it was pretty obvious.

:teeth:  :bitelip:

I HATE HATE HATE people who leave a show before it's over just so they won't get caught in the exit crowd. How obnoxious!!

For instance, at Fantasmic and Beauty and the Beast, there are always a zillion people who jump up and start heading for the exits just as the big finale is starting, which prevents the thousands of people behind and around them from enjoying the end of the show.

It's rude to the performers as well as the other audience members! :furious:

umm...I have 2!
1) When people use wheelchairs when they don't need them - hey I get tired too - I am definately not used to walking miles and miles in the heat for several days at a time but that's part of the Disney experience and fun? Leave the chairs for people who truly need them!

2) This one is kind of bad but I have a really sensitive nose ... but bad body odor when you are in line ... I want to loan them my Bath & Body Works Spray to help them out! (Especially if it's a long line!) :guilty:

How do you know if people need the wheelchair or not?? Just becasue someone can walk or even ride a ride doesn't mena they don't need a wheelchair.

My biggest one, before people cutting in line, before the people with the strollers that double as plows, before all of that, people who make up rules and yell at you to follow them. No, I'm not going to follow some dumb ride rule you made up, I will not. That being said, I can't actually think of an example right now. As a variation of that, people who tell you that you can't take pictures on rides where you can. I'm not stupid, I know which rides I can and cannot take pictures on and, believe it or not, I can hear and do listen to see if you can or cannot so don't be telling me that I can't take pictures on IASW, for example, yes I can, shut up. Ok, there was a little venting for you.

Another, 10 year old kids in strollers, it drives me absolutly nuts. There was a whole thread on this debate and people claimed that it's fine because these 7, 8, 9+ year old children get tired of walking around such the big parks. Well, teenagers get tired too, should I be pushed around in a stroller? No? Well people over the age of 10 get tired, too.

Finally, which is a general anywhere thing that also applies to Disney. People who don't flush the toilet. How could you just not flush the toilet? Don't tell me you forgot, how could you possibly forget? What SICK enjoyment do people get out of not flushing the toilet? I really don't understand.

People who jog with strollers, never mind that you might hit someone else, but what about your own small child's safety???? Slowwww Downnnnn

Bad Coffee at WDW. Although the only bad coffee this trip was at ASMu food court.

People swearing, I have kids who know better than to say those words. Is their vocabulary so terribly limited that those are the only "sentence enhancers" they have? Fine with adults who don't care, but not at a mostly family place. Like a previous poster said smoky bar, fine, it's a small world..not ok.

People who say crazy things around me in Spanish b/c they don't think I understand. I'm not hispanic but I am bilingual. Don't assume your convo is private because you choose another language. I don't want to hear about anyone's sex life and c'mon it's not like you're speaking an obscure dialect from a remote island...helloooooooooo.

I experienced my biggest pet peeve during a June trip.

I can't stand when they let people crowd into the area around the castle 2 hours before the fireworks start and don't leave any walkway. And then I can't stand when those people who are sitting in the area that is supposed to be the walkway glare at me when I try to get myself and my 2 girls and yes, even my stroller through the crowd! And I really can't stand when grown men and women are soooooo rudely jumping in front of me when I am trying to get through with my stroller every time the smallest space opens!

I stood practically still for 20 minutes last June trying to get through a crowd because every time a space opened somebody from behind me jumped in front of me. I get that you don't have the burden of a stroller, but um, I was here first so wait your turn!!!!!! I finally just lost it on this guy who jumped over my girls and FELL right on top of them. He actually had his hand on one of their heads to keep from falling on the ground. So yes, if you are sitting in the walkway and I need by, and you won't move........ get ready to be plowed!
