We'll be arriving on Sat, July 2-12...and want to avoid the most crowded areas on July 4. What is your suggestion of what to do? I'm thinking that we'll skip any of the parks, assuming that that's where most of the crowds will be. Maybe going to Downtown Disney, one of the resorts, etc....to view fireworks. We'll be staying at All-Star Resort...so don't know if there are any fireworks within site from there...THANKS for your comments... :flower:

No tips from me, but we'll be at POR July 2-8 so I thought I'd tag along on your thread :)

no suggestions from me either, but we arrive on July 3 for the 4 day land and 3 day sea - and I would really like some advise too.

Stayed at CR 7/3 - 7/6. SKipped all the parks on the 4th and went to DTD and enjoyed the pools at CR. We also had a GREAT view of fireworks from the CR of BOTH EPCOT and MK. HTH (We have 3 kids 4, 7 and 9 at the time.)

I was there last 4th and will be there again this 4th (June 27 - July 5th)

Avoid MK at all costs, it will be wall to wall people. Last year we went to Epcot and it wasn't so crowded you felt squished. We did ride the monorail around to see if we wanted to "hop" over to MK, but you literally could not see pavement thru the people it was so crowded :earseek: . So we went on back over to Epcot.

Have Fun

We'll also be there July 2-8. We always go July 4th week (because of my DH work/vacation schedule). We always avoid the parks on the 4th. We usually go to a character breakfast, hang out in DTD, swim and view fireworks from a resort. Basically, it's a day when we just chill out

Thanks for everyone's feedback...
disneymom99...that sounds like about what our day will be...however, I'd hate for the kids to miss out on fireworks.
Any suggestions on a location to watch fireworks, even if from a distance? DTD? We'll be staying at All-Star Sport...
THANKS

from what i have been told i am avoiding MK the 4th. sometime in the late afternoon we are going to go to epcot and have dinner later on at R&C and hopefully we will get patio tables, :worship: :worship: , and just enjoy illuminations. then we will wait as long as possible before returning back to our resort. the 4th is a travel day so we really dont want to do too much.

My best advice is to get a 7:30 PS for Narcossees they only let people with PS's in this area and they let you know when to go outside for the fireworks. They set off fireworks over the magic kingdom and and other over seven seas lagoon. It was the best show We've ever seen.

Go to MK and remember to WATCH THE FIRE WORKS!!! They are possibly the best I've ever seen, maybe the best ever. Be sure to watch them you'll Love them, and you'll want to see them every year. Trust me there huge surrounding you in the sky. I Love them and so will you, if you have children make sure you see them and be sure to get a good seat. Don't go by the TTA (Tommrow Land Transit Authority) we did that 1 year and the ride goes through all night if you do your gonna want to move, or you'll be hearing annoucer al night during the fireworks and you can't enjoy them!!!! :earsgirl:
