What's wrong with the Disboards??

Does anybody know what is going on with the Disboards and why it is sooooo slow. For the last several days it's been taking me between 5-20 mins to load a thread or just go to the next page of a thread. It's just taken me 25 mins to get to the point where I can actually write this, goodness knows how long it will take to actually post it!

I have noticed it has been crawling along lately though, to be fair, I am not on as much as I used to be.
I find that between 9am and 9.30am it gets to the point where it just stops. I don't know if this is down to some scheduled maintenance or not, but last night I gave up totally trying to get on line.
I put it down to the fact that there are a large amount of people either going, there or just come back - a lot of whom are planning, doing live trippies or post trippies.
I could be wrong of course - it has been known.

I have noticed it on a couple of posts, but its generally been running fine. Normally a refresh helps

It doesn't seem to matter what time of the day it is I still have problems. This morning at 6.45 I had to wait 15 minutes for a thread to load and it doesn't matter whether I use Chrome or Internet Explorer! At least I'm pretty sure that it's not a problem at my end! DH who works in IT thinks that it could be a problem with something called load distribution! Whatever it is I hope that it gets sorted soon because as much as I love the DIS I haven't got the time to sit and wait for threads to load!!

I'm not having any problems at the moment, but sometimes it can run incredibly slow, no idea why though

I haven't been having any problems recently, the only time is usually about 9am where it is slightly slower but not as long as you are saying

No problems for me either except between 9-9.30 when I always presume they are updating the boards every morning, that only lasts about 15-20 mins.
