What's worse, lovebugs or mosquitoes? (Colson's Poll Of The Week)

I voted lovebugs....we can always use mosquito spray to stop the biting. Not much you can do about the lovebugs though.

Mosquitos bite!!! Lovebugs come off very easily with Simple Green in a spray bottle and some elbow grease.

Nope. SKEETERS is the mascot for Mesquite High School in Mesquite, TX. Really stupid if you ask me. Glad I went to a HS that had a normal mascot like Mustangs.

I've never encountered the lovebugs on any of our trips to FL yet, so I'd have to vote that mosquitos would be a worse pest.

Definitly mosquitos for me..... first lovebugs are only season and annoying, but Mosquitos are an almost ever night dangerous pest. My poor little four-legged boy got heartworms from one about a two years ago, thank goodness we buy our heartworm medication from our vet and because of that and the fact that we have an awesome vet, Sentinel covered all his treatments including an emergency visit to the animal hospital. That was over $1500 worth of medical costs by the way. People can get very sick from them as well and their have been several deaths from them here in Florida. They are very dangerous, ugly, blood sucking little vampires and I for one could do with out them!

Lovebugs are a mess, but those other ones are blood suckers! They love my DH and 2 of my DD. Fell in love with a house we were looking at buying when we moved here to NC. 3,000 gal Koi pond in the back yard. My oldest DD had no less than 30 bites on her legs in less than 10 mins . Had to pass on that house...Nope don't like 'um.

Ok...after an agonizing fit of pure concentration...Ive decided mosquitos are worse because they can carry the West Nile virus.....love bugs can just really piss ya off...Id rather be mad than dead.
