What's WORLD ELITE ACCESS for RBC WestJet World Elite Mastercard?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry in advance ... going to post this same question on the Disneyland Forum to increase my chances of getting an answer! Thanks for your kind patience!!

Does anyone know what kind of WORLD ELITE ACCESS BENEFITS/EXPERIENCES are provided for the RBC WestJet World Elite Mastercard?

The website for the RBC WestJet Card only advertises that we get World Elite Access but doesn't explain what these benefits might be. I'm also having trouble finding this info on the internet so maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places for this info?

Please advise if you can ... hoping for VIP Lounge Access!

Also ... what do you get IF VIP Lounge Access is allowed?

I have the BMO World Elite and as for lounge access for BMO, annually, you get a membership to Priority Pass Lounges worldwide along with 2 vouchers for entry into lounges per year (you can use one for a guest). Once you have used those 2 vouchers, you still get access to the lounges, but at a charge of $27US per person. But you get free food and drinks (and alcohol!), wifi, showers, etc. A nice benefit if you have a lengthy layover.

I think I also get better travel insurance, better miles accumulation, stuff like that.

I don't think I really answered your question, but that is what BMO gets with the lounges.

I was curious about this as well. I contacted RBC and they stated that World Elite Access benefits were for deals only on Westjet.com. There is no VIP lounge access according to them. I don't quite understand, as anyone can have these deals from Westjet. I don't think anyone really knows what it means, it just looks good on the benefits page.

Thanks! I agree with you! I think listing World Elite Access as a benefit just looks good on their website. If there weren't any restrictions (ie. for Westjet.com deals as you stated above ... I'm assuming they mean "vacation packages" and not just flights since you can buy flights on their .com website) they probably would have outlined what the "access" actually entailed. It would be nice if the website advised what those restrictions were for the "access" and gave examples of what the "access" entailed.

When I get some time, I think I'll call the credit card company and ask them to outline what "access" benefits we'd be entitled to since there's no VIP lounge access. I'll update further if I get any further info.

I'm quite confident I know the answer, but you're not going to like it .

Only BMO includes the Priority Pass lounge benefit, I can tell you with absolute certainty that the Westjet world elite card does not.

The access blurb refers to being able to access their programs such as the Priceless Cities promotions. It also includes the concierge service. That's really all the "access" refers to.

The BMO WE card gives you access to the lounges but unfortunately if you are flying WestJet to Florida out of Terminal 3 in Toronto you are out of luck as there is NO lounge for that card there. So I was told by BMO

If you fly out of Terminal 1 there is a lounge for US transborder, but it's not great...you do get Club MCO access in Orlando and it it fantastic!

So you don't have the Air Miles version of the card, but rather the Travel Rewards card? What is the value of points-dollars?

The BMO World Elite card is $1 to 2 points, so $5000 = 10,000 points, which equals $100

We fly out of the U.S. most of the time, so this is the best fit for us - can book JetBlue, cruises etc.

Hmm, that's a better deal than air miles.

I agree. We dumped our Airmiles cards a few years ago when we felt the program was hitting the skids and jumped to this card. We're very pleased with it and the rewards centre is very good to deal with.

You get four passes per year to use however you wish. You have to be present, but you can use the others for anyone travelling with you.

I just contacted Priority Pass and I only get two passes per year. Must be the terms and conditions with my credit card promotion. Oh well, two is better than none!

Is this with BMO World Elite? If so, you have to call them, not Priority Pass. PP has no connection other than they swipe your card and BMO removes it from your statement before you see it .

I would contact say contact BMO as well...it should definitely be 4 passes if you have the World Elite card...not the World Elite airmiles. I usually end up only using the passes in Orlando because we always fly out of Buffalo and they have no lounge there.

I have the World Elite Air Miles. Likely different perks for each type of card.
