What's with this diamond dust paper?

I did my first layout with this paper today and couldn't get anything to stick to it. What a pain. I glued some parts down after the stick adhesives were failing miserably and some parts I sent through my xyron. That seemed to work best, until my xyron got stuck on a tag and I screamed for 10 minutes trying to retreive it out in tact. Anyone have any better suggestions? All in all this paper raised my bp by about 100pts.

I use mono aqua glue on it and it seems to work really well most of the time. Sorry you had such a hard time!!

I agree UGH!!!!!!!! My LSS told me to use liquid glue like sailors. I won't be using it again! My hermifix tabs seemed to work ok but not great!

Pammy jo, Did you try the Glue Dots? I don't think there is much of anything that the Glue Dots won't stick to.

Grrr-enough to drive you crazy hey Pammy Jo!! I haven't used diamond dust paper but I have used a sparkly paper that is very similar and had no problemo with it! Just used the little double sided stickey squares!

Sooooo, what cha making with that there diamond dust????????????

I have the repositional glue dots, but didn't try them. The double side sticky squares were a definate NO. I did glue down a journal square and held it until my fingers turned purple. Now that I look at it in my book its just a tad bit crooked. URGHHH! Still deciding if it will always drive me crazy and do I really have to take it off and try it again. I'm sure I will in another day or two.

Is the mono aqua glue different than the sailor glue pen? The glue pen did seem to work best at the end.

The page was "date nights" at DW. Just thought the black diamond dust background would look nice.

Pammy jo,

The glue dots I was referring to are call "Memory Book GLUEDOTS." The are about $5 for 250 dots. They are instant bond. No wiggle room at all. I use them for adhering buttons and charms, anything heavy or particularly hard to adhere.

Thank you Chessie. I will definately look into them because I have some charms for my Christmas album that I want to use. I've never done charms before so I really didn't know how I was going to adhere them.

I like diamond dust paper a lot. I've only used it on a couple of lo's though because I don't want my album to be too gaudy overall. I use to double sided sticky squares and they worked well for me. Of course they aren't repositional and sometimes that can pose a problem as you said.
