I keep checking my rate for National, as I have always snagged a lower rate closer to my arrival date in the past. For some reason, my dates in Oct are coming up a hundred or so more than the same dates in Sept and Nov. I have a decent rate already booked (about 195 for 11 days starting the Fri of Columbus Day weekend), so I can't really complain. I'd just like to make up for the lack of AP rates for my dates....

I noticed the prices were very high. I decided not to rent a car because of this.

Alot of schools here in the Northeast are off for 2 days the first week of October, 2 days the second week. Plus it's also the F&W fest and the end of the free dining offers. They really don't need to offer any discounts since it seems like it will be more crowded than usual this October.

I wish I knew....we rented a car during Spring Break and it was $60 cheaper than the week I have reserved for the first week of Octoberr :(
