What's with the hair bands that are thrown on top of Everest?

It is amazing how people have so little respect for others and just toss trash around. It looks terrible and should be cleaned up by Disney every day. But i guess it isn't much different than all the trash and dead bodies on top of the real Everest.

Yes, and while they are at it they should replace all those tattered flags. And boy the HM could use a good dusting!

We were at the World last week for 9 days and something struck that maybe I have never really noticed before? The amount of garbage at the top of EE. Someone needs to get up their and clean it up and people need to stop throwing little bands, notes, trinkets whatever. I'm assuming people find it "cool" that they have an object on everest the irony is it's actually illegal to leave most things at the top of the real mountain. Any official policy on this?

I remember seeing a ton of hair ties on our first ride there and was wondering the same thing... they must clean them fairly regularly because we rode again 2 or 3 days later and there was only maybe 10 or so compared to the 40+ I saw the first ride.
