Okay - so right now, the October rates calendar is showing the same rate all month for any of the hotels. Well DLH varies slightly- the first week is a different rate. Usually the rates vary by day of the week/weekend, special events, holidays (like Halloween) etc. :confused3 Does this mean they might change?

FYI, for standard GCH is $333/night for every night in October (except the first weekend) And PP is $221/night standard. Does that seem unusually high for this time of year? Or is it due to Halloween time?

I apologize if I'm not supposed to "reveal" this type of "information"...:rolleyes1

We can reveal AP rates! No secrets there! You know, when I first read the title of your thread, my first thought was, "We have to wait until July for the October rates to come out." The it dawned on me - it IS July! Well, I think your guess may be accurate - I suspect they will 'alter' some of the dates during certain weeks in October. Just like with September, I believe some of the lower rates did not come out right at the start of June, so I suspect that if we keep checking the AP calendar, eventually we will see some nifty AP rates pop up. I have even checked it on one day and certain rates were shown, and then the next day they were different for the same dates.

Also, last October was so crowded and unprecedented in terms of DLR hotel bookings that they may be waiting to see if tons of people start booking before they offer lower rates. But the Catch 22 is that I think there were so many bookings last October because there were such good rates (not only AP, but PIN offers, etc.) I know I will not be paying $221 for the PPH. But I suspect that they will spring some lower prices on us, and we just have to keep checking to catch them. Just my hunch.

Oy. Just paid (er, SIL paid) 209 for PPH which came out to 240, plus the resort fee. :headache: To SIL it was a bargain to indulge her nephew; to me it was painful.

While looking around the site, at the Special Offers section, it seems that the special AP rates (AP8 still) are only through Sept 29th still. So the rates past that are just rates - 10%, I imagine. Not the special deals yet.

I know! $221 for PPH when GCH has rates as low as $209!

Last night I was up waiting for the rates  - but I guess they posted this morning. I can't believe its already July!!

I guess I'll keep checking back, we're hoping for Oct 1st to open up with a good rate at...well GCH for sure, but even PP would suffice if the the deal was good enough. Come on Disney- give us a deal and we'll stay a whole extra day! (extra food, extra spending, don't you want our money??)

Remember, just b/c they list a price doesn't mean they HAVE that price. Got PPH at 209 when I wanted to get listed price of 279 for GCH, but all they *actually* had was a 1 bedroom suite for over one thousand at GCH...
