What's with shorter port time in Rome next summer?

I am scheduled on the Magic for the 10 night Med cruise starting July 7, 2018. The Magic will only be in port at Civitavecchia for 9 hours. Previous and later cruises are there for 12 hours. Does anybody know why?

I am having a hard time finding excursions for that short amount of time into Rome. Private ones are reluctant, but are confirming DCL's schedule. Even DCL's Port Adventures haven't adjusted their times. The one tour we are interested in that goes inside the Colosseum is 10.5 hours long. Is anybody else having any luck?

We did the Coliseum and Vatican DCL excursion last year and needed every minute to get back to the ship. With crowds and traffic it was tight. Also, because the water was too rough at the Monte Carlo port, we got an "at sea" day then stopped at Marseilles the following day. You might be going the opposite way. Never know with tendered ports. In any case, the Med. cruise is awesome but wears you out. We did a B2B WBTA at the end of the Med. to relax.
