What's with Nancy Grace?

Last night I was watching MSNBC's Scarborough Country and they were discussing the whole thing with Nancy Grace accusing the mother of a missing child of murdering the child. I guess the mother killed herself. Now I'm hearing that Nancy Grace won't let it go. She has been talking about it every night. Some people fell that CNN should fire her. I don't really know all the details because I haven't seen it. I do admit that I like Nancy Grace. She is usually right on when it comes to criminals but I really feel that she gets on her soapbox every now and then and it's tough to get her down from it! I get the feeling that a lot of other media personalities feel that she is a big mouth. What do you all think?

Yea, that about sums up my feelings.
Mine as well. Maybe she feels guilty that she cost the police their best clue and witness and is overcompensating, the twit.

I didn't know anything about this "incident" until I read it here a couple of days ago.. Personally, I don't care for Nancy Grace - or any other person who asks a question and then isn't polite enough to wait for a reply.. If you don't want an answer, don't ask the question!!

Caught a quick glimpse of her show last night and I think she's become obssessed with this case..

She was right about her. Melinda Duckett killed her child and Nancy was the only one to ask her the tough questions. She "won't let it go" because the child's body has not been found. I'm sure she will continue to cover it until they either find the body or feel they've exhausted all efforts to do so.

I agree. I guess I only liked her during the Scott Peterson case because I agreed with her. She has gone off the deep end. I think people either love her or hate her. I'm gathering after this incident it will be more for the hate part!

Well the person who knew where the body is, is now dead partially thanks to Ms. Grace's questioning. I am not placing the full blame on her, but I have to think this did come into play.

I suspected Melinda from the beginning. She didn't act like a mother with a missing child would act. Yesterday there was a story about how the police found pictures, toys and a sonogram picture in a dumpster at Melinda's apartment complex. The police also said that most of their efforts were being put in investigating Melinda. The piolice weren't clueless, they just knew how to deal with her better.

I can't comment on this particular case and her handling of it, because I haven't watch her in a few weeks, but I have always liked her reporting. She always seems to ask the obvious questions that are in my head and no one else has the nerve to bring up. I guess I will have to watch her and get caught up on what is going on so I can form my opinion.

This is just a sad sad story, and I too suspected the mom from the beginning - as much as I did not want to!

I hope for the families sake that they will get some closure to this issue.

I have watched Nancy for several nights on this story (she was the same way with the Natalie Holloway - weeks and weeks of stories) - and there are times I just want to strangle her. She is like a pit bull and won't let things go! There are times that I don't think she is really listening to her guests or letting them really make her point when she gets "passionate" about a comment or a statement!

I suspect that Melinda might have been contemplating suicide prior to the Nancy Grace show - totally my opinion however. She had bought the 20 gauge shot gun the month before she reported Trenton missing.... to me that seems like and odd purchase for a 21 year old female.

It is just VERY VERY sad and each time I see his sweet little face I want to just cry!

She is an idiot

She's never informed on the cases she rants about, but she's not dumb. She is a manipulative, overbearing, egocentric hag who cares more about her feelings than justice though.

I don't think you can blame Nancy Grace at all for this woman's death. The mother was avoiding the questions and she was asking. She was obviously living with some sort of guilt which lead her to kill herself. Not because Nancy Grace was questioning her. I bet the cops were questioning her even harder than Nancy Grace was.

I agree with manipulative, overbearing, and egocentric and I'll add obsessive as well.

And I am sure they were not. For the most part, the easiest way to get a person to shut down is to bulldog and the easiest way to get a confession is to sympathize and empathize. Don't buy what you see on TV cop shows.

As far as legal talking heads go, I like Nancy Grace. I don't blame her for this woman's death at all. I do think, however, that she should just shut up about it now and let the police do their investigation.

guilt maybe?

Alot of people are saying that, but at least IMHO, I don't think Nancy Grace carries guilt around. She just doesn't strike me as the guilty type - perhaps a bit too self-centered to harbor that emotion.

Has this proven that she killed her child yet? If so I must have missed it on the news.

I doubt Nancy asked anything tougher than the police & FBI asked. What I saw of the interview was the mother not answering any questions and my thought was why would you even agree to be on her show? Nancy asking some tough questions that this mother almost coldly never answered did not cause her suicide. Maybe being guilty did.
