what's ur favorite area of saratoga?

I can't remember what section we stayed at last time (other than it was to the right of the entrance!) but I really enjoyed walking around the ponds at night. You could see the stars and it was so quiet and peaceful. That would have to be my fav :lovestruc

We are Congress Park snobs and even took a lousy view so we could be in CP on our most recent trip. We love the close proximity to DTD, the quiet pool and it only takes a few minutes to get up to the Carriage house.

We stayed in The Grandstand right next to the path to the treehouses. We really liked it. We liked walking through the treehouses to their boat dock!
We have a trip to SSR in 21 days and we've requested congress park DTD view! I'll let you know what we get and which we liked better in a few weeks!

I'm not sure if we have a favorite. We have stayed a few times at Congress Park and the Granstand area. Congress Park has a great view of Downtown Disney across the water with a nice quiet pool area. It's also a nice walk if you want to go to the Disney Marketplace.

The Grandstand also has a nice pool, with a small bar. It's also a very short walk to the main pool area and spa/gym.

DVD has IMO done a really nice job in tailoring each section of SSR for different families. Before we had kids, we we're also Congress Park " snobs" -- the DTD view is quite a perk. But CP doesn't have a splashy or kid- friendly pool. The Grandstand section has the splashing gatehouse and pool area that is toddler- friendly. We're looking forward to using it this summer with our going- on- three year old DD. The Springs has the theme pool and close access to the CH, and the Paddock's new pool will make these sections more popular with families with school age kids. I really can for see each section of SSR getting a neighborhood feel and reputation for catering to different family- types and age groups in the future.

Sounds like the Grandstand.

We have stayed at both the Springs and Grandstand and we really like the Grandstand. The splash area, the pool, and the bar as well as it being the first bus stop really make it the top choice for us.

We're curious to see the new Paddock pool might change our top choice.:yay:

Like many of the others, we have only stayed at CP (twice). We really like the area. We like the proximity to DTD and find the walk to the main building to be easy as well. From what I've observed, I think we would find the building in the Paddocks closest to CP and the building in Grandstand closest to the main building to be great locations as well.

We typically don't have a car and have found the buses are frequently crowded. On one occasion as we left the MK there was a crazy long line for the buses. There was a pretty steady stream of buses coming to pick people up, so the wait wasn't too bad. But the buses were very full.

Springs for the little legs that get tired. It's nice when you have a resort day not to have to put in all the walking.

Grandstand for the pool and proximity to the main amenities

Congress Park for the views. Haven't stayed there yet, but the next adults only will be requested there.
