Hi Guys!
I received an email from Kingdom Magic Vacations this morning and in their newsletter it had this:

. Disney's Year of a Million Dreams
Disney has just announced their exciting new plan to make dreams literally come true. Starting off with a “Disney Dreams Giveaway” sweepstakes leading up the fall of 2006, which will begin the "Year of a Million Dreams." The year-long celebration not only usher in special small and big dream giveaways, but during this time Disney will also release new attractions and entertainment for the Walt Disney World® Resort and the Disneyland® Resort in California. Disney will also offer new unique ways of booking vacation packages. They will be more customizable for those who really want to follow their dreams

As far as a Walt Disney World vacation goes, Disney is planning special “Dream Tracks” which will provide travelers with special tools to help them customize their favorite dream of becoming a cowboy, princess, and other unique wishes.

Does anyone know anything more about this? Could it be the reason we're being told the '07 packages won't be released until the end of summer when they're normally released at the end of June? I'm thinking maybe so, because you know there will be lots of details to work out before Disney can announce new packages. What's your take everyone, let's hear it!!! :thumbsup2

I'm thinking fall bookings aren't what Disney had hoped they would be (which is why they extended the deadline for free dining), and I'm thinking they don't want to give away too many details and have people either cancel their fall vacations or postpone them.

that is a good point. But I wish all the AAA ppl were on the same page, b/c my agent knows I am anxious and she e mailed me a few days ago and said she contacted Disney and they said the packages would be out in a couple weeks. WHY can't we all get told the same thing!!! aahh!!!

I do hope we have customizable vacation packages. I wish they would go back to when you got two "wishes" per day to use in meals or whatever. I hate counter service, we love TS meals twice a day, and this upsets me! (I will get over it)

I agree---I LOVED the 2 "wishes" package. We had that for our honeymoon in 2002 and ate TS twice a day---so nice! I'm not crazy about counter service either, but since it's magical WDW I'll get over it as well! :p

Weren't the two wishes packages (I think it was called the silver package) @ $60.00 per person per night? :confused3

As much as I would have loved to book that package, it was too expensive for us. :sad2:

I hope the 2007 packages are as reasonable as the MYW dining package.

I'd like to see an extension or add to the MYW dining package.

Maybe add on one wish option per person that could be used for a tour, Cirque, Pirate Cruise, golf or parasailing.

i like the idea of just adding on another option for a "wish" that could be used for things or for another meal. I honestly don't remember how much they cost, I just remember it was wonderful :cloud9:

To me, the current dining plan is overkill. There is enough quality CS available at WDW so that we don't feel that we need a sit down meal everyday. Our last trip was wonderful and we ate a lot of TS, more than we ever had before. We opted to not do the dining plan....because we figured that it was going to cost us about the same to do it OOP, and we liked the non-package deal terms better in regards to payment of our trip. At any rate, one thing that we did figure out was something that we suspected all along, that we didn't really need/want to do all that TS dining. While we had no bad dining experiences, except for the one meal that went horribly wrong because we were with a group of FL friends that have no clue about planning anything at WDW...and Disney couldn't help that we were stuck with this fly by the seat of their pants bunch during prime dining hours at EPCOT during the holiday season, I can say that for our next trip, the only TS meal that I know for sure that I want is Kona Cafe on my birthday for breakfast. If that turns out to be the only TS meal that we have, I would be ok with it. TS takes too much valuable park time! I would rather ride SpMnt and BTMRR an extra time each and grab a burger at Pecos Bills than not ride SpMnt & BTMRR one extra time each and miss a Hall of Presidents just to be able to work in dining with the Characters at LTT. This is of course just my opinion, but if Disney offered a dining plan of 3 CS meals a day, I would take it, if the cost and terms were good. Maggie

I know a lot of ppl that are like you that would rather spend more time on rides etc. and thats totally ok, you won't gain as much weight as me! lol. To my family though, the meals are part of the fun of disney. we always eat at eh "fun" places like sci fi, 50's, and the character buffets. to us it wouldn't be a disney trip without all the fun meals you can't get anywhere else. but I do understand about going on all the rides a lot, that's all part of it as well! guess thats what makes the world go round!

-I used to live in Dacula Georgia (back when it was nothing in the late 80's early 90's). Miss is ssooo much, it's HUGE now! I'm jealous! :sad2:
