what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

If we can add drinks, the worst thing is the COFFEE!!
I didn't like the meat in the Whispering Canyon skillet at all last trip, and I never liked the buffet at H&V

I have to say I did NOT enjoy my Grilled Chicken Sandwhich at Cosmic Rays. The bun was like sawdust, and the chicken was so dry. I also hated that singing alien. He reminded me of Chucky Cheese not Disney World!

NEVER AGAIN!

The only bad food I experienced during my last trip was at Coral Reef. I ordered the Lobster soup and was very excited to try it from all of the great reviews I've read on here. When it came it looked ok, until I went to put the spoon in it. OH MY WORD! It was gelatinous in consistency! TRULY DISGUSTING! It was still hot too, so it's not like it was just standing around and developed that consistency from cooling down. NO. I decided to just grit my teeth and try it and I really regretted that! I ended up having a second bite too, just to be sure (I eat seafood but no other meat, but I'm not picky and will like most foods that I eat). WOW, it was truly gross! I pushed it away and told the server I wanted it taken off our bill (we pay OOP). She was very nice about it and offered to get me something else, but I declined, I was pretty freaked out.

So I am not the only person who thought it was revolting? The smell of it haunted me for days. Yuck!!!

My only recent bad experience was everything served on a bun (Oct 09). One of my favorite lunch spots is the Plaza Restaurant in MK and its always sort of a "kick off" meal for us on our first day. They changed the buns there, just as they did throughout the rest of the world. My once favorite cheeseburger has now been destroyed with a sawdust bun. :sad2:

Of all the gross things you all have been served, have you sent them back or did you just toss it?

I think we have a winner.
Without a doubt the most universally bad thing is the coffee.
There are a couple of places that have OK coffee, but overall it is really bad.

with fake creamer :thumbsup2

kona coffee at poly is great, but gets expensive every day

In March '09, my dad got a coffee somewhere in HS and it was fantastic. Maybe it was a fluke :confused3

The worst meal I've ever had in Disney was at the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco at Epcot in 2005. It was a last resort for us since we hadn't arranged any reservations. This was the only place without a line up. I can't remember much about the meal... all i know is that it looked disgusting. I think I only ate the cous-cous as it was the only thing on my plate that I could identify. If I were to go back now, I'd probably appreciate it much more since I've expanded my palette to foods from other cultures (i.e. Mediterranean, Chinese, Japanese, etc. ) Back then I was just picky

We were there this last May ('09) and have to say, hands down, our worst food came from the San Angel Inn...hideous. Wet tortillas, wilted and soggy lettuce, tasteless chicken, glue-like beans...still gives me the shivers!

I also wasn't a fan of whatever the 'french toast' thing is they serve at CRT breakfast...probably just personal preference, but it was far to sweet and greasy.

And speaking of too sweet - the stuffed pretzels are icky!! I was thinking salty pretzel and nice melty cream cheese - I was not expecting them to be vaguely artificially sweet and chemical tasting.

In defense of Yakitori house, I like the Udon soup...never have gotten the chicken - I assumed (correctly, I guess) that it would be just the same as what you buy at the mall food court.

ABC Commissary is off our list...consistently sub-par.

This was our third trip and in general have found the food to be generally good, but with a few disappointments popping up here and there.

As always, it's about individual preference, service at the restaurant, and even your individual mood at the moment. Tangereine (sp ?) has always been one our top hits, seconded by many on the boards but each to their own taste, but the dole whip which EVERYONE but me loves (I really, really don't get - it's just okay? I'm going to try it again this trip because I figure that I must have been either in a really cranky mood, or maybe it was an off day but it did nothing for me) and I agree :thumbsup2 on the stuffed pretzels as does DD - she had a meltdown, obviously bad long day, a couple of trips ago when we used our last snack credit on one - I second the weird chemically taste to the cheese.

If we all loved the same things what a boring place this world would be... although I think we all agree on the coffee :scared1:

Nasty grey burgers at Cosmic Ray's, not to mention the place was filthy but it was also pretty busy that day. Also Yakitori house had fatty greasy beef! Couldn't finish it. Nasty! Oh and I'm another one who didn't like the Dole Whip, my DH didn't care for it either.

I am glad that we stay in a villa and cook all of our own meals.
Only place that I make it a point to have lunch at is the Tangerine cafe in Morocco and it never disappoints.

Worst meal was the Luau at the Polynesian. Ribs with too much sauce, salty rice and cheap wine and beer. Expect more for the price!

Everything at Garden Grill in Epcot was inedible except the salad and dessert. Yuck!

However, out of a week on the DDP, that was really our only "bad" meal. We really enjoyed everwhere else (Mama Melrose, Tonys, HDDR, etc.)

Yak & Yeti Counter Service Honey chicken stuff no flavor at all. Most of the food at Boma's although I liked the zebra domes though. My kids hated Boma's

An earlier poster mentioned the lemon-basil sorbet from the Wave, but I really enjoyed that.

My tastes might be poor/wrong though, since my worst thing would be the turkey leg, followed by the lobster roll from F&W. The mint sauce that accompanies the sorbet at Kouzzina was gross too, but it was on the side and came with a warning from the server.

The chicken pot pie from The Wave this past Aug trip was terrible. Super salty, luke warm and the pastry dough was hard not flaky, plus there was no bottom crust just a heap of filling with a pastry round sitting on top. The gravy part was gelatinous. It was really bad. Oh and the lemon basil sorbet was bad too! What a stange flavor for dessert, way too much basil!
