My MIL sent DS10 a $50 iTunes gift card. He doesn't own an iPod. Will she ever learn to ask us what his interests are - or better yet, just don't send anything?!?!? He'd be less upset to get absolutely nothing than something he knows he can't use. Ok that's a whole other thread.......anyway, I saw on here once there's a website you can go to where they buy unwanted gift cards for a fraction of their value - anyone know what site it is?

fyi, you don't have to have an iPod to use iTunes cards. ANYone can use them, you just download your purchases to your computer. Just so you know. :)

Yeah, its not only music either... I got a $15 Itunes GC last year and I spent in on some TV shows and other things I really like.

Thanks for the tip. She sent everyone in the family each a $50 card for iTunes - so we don't really need $200 in iTunes gift cards (there are 2 iPods in the family but they rarely get used) - so I was just looking to cash in at least 1 so DS10 can use whatever money he gets from it for something he wants.

I checked & plasticjungle.com doesn't buy iTunes cards at this time. Bummer!

I looked at the site too, they have tons of iTunes cards available so I imagine that's why they aren't taking new ones. :( Bummer.....
DD14 bought a movie with her iTunes card, DBF has bought TV shows, they both buy games and movies. Or another thought is to buy it from him, give him the $$ for something else and you keep the iTunes card and regift it. :)

Heck I'd love to buy it from you......but I have no $$ right now. lol

I would look into selling them on eBay. Itunes gift cards tend to sell for full value on there that way you don't lose any value.

I wouldn't sell any type of gift card on ebay. Too much fraud. Those auctions that end up full value are run up that high by crooks who either use stolen credit cards or get you to e-mail them the code and then claim they didn't receive anything from you.

I think the market for reselling $50 Itunes gift cards might be high right now since Walmart recently sold them for $35 and Best Buy had them for $40.

So I believe people bought them to resell at these type of sites to make a nice little profit.

I bought mine at wal mart but I am using them as gifts for my DD and DN.:santa:
