What's the weather like in early May?

Hi, thinking of going in early May this year. What's the weather like then?

Generally speaking, in the 80's during the day with a hint of humidity. Nights are comfortable. Having said that, one year it was close to 90 our entire trip (2000) and last year it was a little cooler, in the 70's during the day and comfortable at night. We'll be there 5/2 - 5/8 and looking forward to some pool time!!

We were there the 1st week of May 2005 and it started out warm but was a wee bit chilly/rainy by the end. I felt cold going to the pool with the kids. It warmed back up as we were leaving of course! I think it is generally warm but you might want to pack a sweatshirt/jacket and a pair of pants.

We were there May 9-16, 2005, and it was 86 degrees everyday. You'll have great weather!

Thanks, I was worried it would have already started with the wicked heat & humidy. We've only gone in Aug & Sept. Early May sounds like a nice time to go.

In a normal year, wicked heat and humidity starts to roll in about May 19th ish

usually it is pretty nice although this past May was very HOT (during the day!), and KIM this is coming from a native....

It's perfect!!! Well it was in 2004 when we went! Just hot enough, with only one day of rain.
