What's the strategy for making ADRs FAST?

Our 180+10 opens 12/31. I've been playing around with pretend reservations on MDE so I know what to do on the day, but the process seems excruciatingly long - much longer than previous trips; too long to get the tough ressies. Do I have to enter my cc separately for every ressie? Do I have to choose names from the drop-down every time? Does it always default back to 2 people between reservations? I've always had a solid strategy based on info from these boards. (I remember somebody posting the numbers to push in the phone-only days so I didn't even have to listen to the prompts -loved that! :goodvibes) I'm not feeling as good about this year; there are SO MANY changes from our last trip. Other than getting up pre-dawn and making the hard-to-get ones first, what is the current strategy for making ADR's quickly to maximize opportunity to get those tough ones?

TIA!

Make sure you are signed into MDE so you are able to book your +10.

Add a credit card to MDE and that should pull in when you book your ADRs as well.

Then you go to Things to Do > Make Reservations (under dining)

I put in my date, time and party size (I always pick a time vs. breakfast, lunch, dinner as it gives you less than ideal times and you have to search again). THEN type the name of the restaurant and press enter and it should bring up the closest available times. I didn't have a problem booking any of my ADRs including BOG, Cali Gril, and Crystal Palace (8:10 am)

I'm one of the old fashioned people and I call in the morning. For me it is a lot easier and then if a better time comes up or I need to make a change I do it through my MDE.:thumbsup2

Thank you, both! Does the reservation window open online before the phone lines open? I'm in the central time zone.

Online reservations open at 6:00am EST.
Phone reservations open at 7:00am EST.

:)

Reading this thread made me think of a random question... since we're staying at SoG, will I be able to do my ADR's online or will I have to do phone because it's not a "Disney property"?

You can still make the reservations online, but only 180 days from the day of the reservation
