Whats the square footage of your house?

the one now is 1660 sq ft.but we are fixing to build a modular thet is 2400 main 1100 upstairs and then we will have a fuul finished basement.so that will be about 6000 sq ft.DH idea on all of it.i told him he would be the one cleaning it.it is just the 2 of us.

We have 2100 square feet. 3 bedrooms and an office on the main floor. 3 bathrooms. Once we finish the basement we'll have 3500 sf. None of this includes the 3 car garage.

Our 1,750sf of living space includes 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, living room, kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook and a family room in the basement. It's more than big enough for the two of us. We find that we only use half the rooms on a typical day.

2850 plus about 1000 of basement, double car attached garage and a detached shop.

And....we have managed to fill it all :(

Now there are just the 2 of us....but we still seem to have both kids' stuff here still.

We just built ours. It is approx. 5, 000 sq. ft. DH is the builder so that says enough. 4-6 bedrooms, playroom, familyroom, DR, LR, 3.5 baths

It is fine for our family of 5, 2 cats and 2 hampsters. We entertain over the holidays and birthdays and we have a rather big family. We will be holding a family reunion this summer and expect 100 people. My yard is huge.....we just have to wait for the snow to go away so we can plant some grass.

Friends pick on my DH and ask him what he is compensating for??? LOL!! It is alot to clean but it is DH's dreamhouse!!

2400 sq ft & we had more storage space in our former 800 sq ft condo than we do in this 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home!

Next home will have more storage & at least one bedroom/full bath on the main floor!

ours is 1625, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, nice size kitchen with large dinette, living room and dining room--(no formal living room--we wouldnt use it anyway) Semi-finished basement for all the kids stuff, I think that adds another 800 sq ft.

Its perfect for us (5)

2,300 Square Feet of 1930 solid built updated House - we are very lucky to have the house we have

Lots of space for the three of us plus one on the way

Thanks
Jason

We had our house built 11 years ago: 2850 sq. ft. and a full basement. The laundry room is on the 2nd floor - just down the hall from the bedrooms - which I love.

2200sq house plus an unfinished basement. Now, if only we had the $$ to finish it! ;)

we have 3000 sq.ft.- 3 bedrooms, 1 very large bonus room that we use a another bedroom and suite (2 sofas and big tv in there+ bedroom furniture), kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, living room, dining room, office and family room. No basement- boohoo!!! The yard is SMALL- I hate that, but that's pretty much the way things are here in Portland- it is however nice for mowing the lawn- less then 15 minutes- our old house took 2 hours!

I have about 1700 sq. feet + a 1/2 finished basement. I also have my shop and a garage + a 3 car detatched garage. Good grief! That gives me a total of 5 garages!:earseek: My house sits on 1 acre of land & I love the location but I would love to have more closet space. Maybe someday...

My neighbor just built an over 8000 sq.ft. house. It is huge!

8000 sq. ft.??? I wouldn't want it!

I don't remember how big our apartment was, but it had a storage unit and wonderful closets.

Our first house was around 1300 square feet and not very well laid out at all. It had a total of three closets in the whole house and the kitchen really only had room for one of us at a time. It was an adventure, though: I knew exactly what combination would blow a fuse. :p Example: Microwave and vacuum cleaner together was fine, but adding the telephone ringing and "poof." And I fell down the steep stairs more than once.

Our current house is just under 2000 square feet. It's fine for the five of us. I don't think I'd want anything bigger because I have a hard time keeping this clean. It has great closets and a HUGE kitchen!:smooth: I didn't want a house with a three-car garage, but now I wish we either had that or a building out back for all the bikes, trikes, toys, sports equipment, etc., etc., that we try to cram in the two-car garage. I feel very, very lucky to live here with this house and this neighborhood. :)

...is a tad over 1,900 sq. ft., but it's starting to get a bit crowded cuz' I'M ADDICTED TO CRAFT SHOWS!!!!
(4BR's, 2 1/2 baths, fam room, DR, kitchen, and a HUGE 2-story garage)
