Whats the square footage of your house?

2500 square feet with another 1500 of unfinished basement. I don't think that I could handle anymore than that!!!

Erin :D

about 4500 square feet, + my finished basement. I agree with the previous poster, the more space you have the more you collect!!! I definately could use more room, and there are only 4 of us plus the cat!!

We currently have around 1550 sq ft. We downsized last year from 2600. While storage space is a little on the shy side, it is SO much less expensive to heat in the winter and cool in the summer. Not to mention, less to dust and vaccuum! Only thing I would change is the teeny tiny kitchen.
By the way, there are two adults, one teen, one almost teen, and one toy poodle in our household.

2208 sq ft.....3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, kitchen, dining room, small den....laundry on first floor (GODSEND!!) and a great room that is 22ft X 24 ft.

Just about 2000.

We have three bedrooms/ one being 21X 12 or soemthing like that.. (think LONG)... one biggish kitchen, full basement.

We don't have a garage, but a shed. We do have a corner lot.

The house we just purchased is 2100 total square feet but 1700 under air! WOW you guys have so GIANT homes!!!!!!!!

About 1650 (not including basement) with just the two of us :)

Just under 3200, for us. 4 bedrooms, 4 baths.

I'd do it very differently, if I built another house. We never use our formal living room and dining room, so we could actually downsize and be very comfortable. My oldest is already off in college, and my middle child leaves in a year and a half, so we've seriously considered moving to something smaller.

Unfortunately, property values and property taxes have skyrocketed in our part of town, since we built this house 9 years ago, so we wouldn't end up saving any money if we did downsize.

We have right under 2700 square feet. Master bedroom, DS room, Jim has an office that is really a bedroom, and I use the real office. This was my dream home when I saw it!!

EDIT: Of course, if you read my post from today 4/5, you wil know that I will be giving up this home in the ?near? future :( I really think today su**s

just over 2400...but definately not enough closet space!

Oh my goodness! You all have such big houses compared to me! :teeth: Yours could eat mine for a snack!!!

We just bought an adorable little cottage that's 600 sq. ft! :p (Moving in Sept.)

But it's perfect for us. It's all the room we need and it's on the water. (And it will KEEP me from being a pack-rat!) :jester:

3100 sq ft...5 bedrooms, 3 baths...perfect for us, our 3 boys and 2 dogs!

WOW ~ with all these massive houses......................it's just little ol' me clocking in with a mere 950 sq ft  :( I was hoping to at least double this this year, but it looks as if I am going to have to wait probably a year. There are myself, DD (17) and DS (11). I own a home based business, and we have WAY OUTGROWN our little house, but I can't quite afford something new right now. I suppose good things come to those who wait!! :p :teeth:

Mine is 800, plus a full size finished basement.

1500 sq feet. 3 bdr 1 bath. You guys have huge houses. If I had 1 more bath and if my daughters room was a little bigger I would be happy. Of course if I had my A frame home in the country I would be over joyed.:p

Ours is about 2600 sq feet. We also have a 2-car detached garage with attic storage. I'm not sure how big it is, but I'd guess another 400-500 sq ft.

I wouldn't want another inch of living space, but an unfinished basement would be nice!

Our home is 2,100 square feet. It has three bedrooms (two smallish ones and one HUGE master bedroom), 2 baths including one normal sized one and a HUGE one in the master bedroom. Large living room with cathedral ceilings, an office, dining room, and medium sized kitchen. There are three of us living here DH, DD and myself. I think this is really all the living space we need.

About 2600, we moved from 1800 and thought we'd have tons of space. Amazing how quickly it gets filled. It is enough for us, I keep telling myself that if I can't find a place for my stuff I need to get rid of it. :)

We have a 3,000 sq. ft. house for the three of us. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, living room, dining room, large kitchen and a very large family room. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet, with the master bedroom having two walk-in closets. The master bath is too large and there is an exercise room off the master bath. We have a large screened in porch and a two car garage. There is adequate storage space, each bedroom has an attic access. Actually this house is too large for us, but we love it! We have done so much to the house and yard that we would find it hard to get rid of.
