My box of generic rice crispies doesn't have it on there. Anyone know it off the top of your head?

I think it's one bag of marshmellows & 1/2 stick of butter melted and then add 5 cups rice crispies. Make sure that your pan is buttered really well or it will stick and that stuff is like glue.

5-6 cups of rice krispies
1/2 stick butter
1 bag of marshmallows (I think around 10 0z)

Don't know it off the top of my head but I do have a box of Rice Krispies.

3T margarine or butter
1 10oz pack of regular marshmallows or 4 c mini marshmallows
6 c rice krispies

melt margarine or butter over low heat
add marshmallows and stir until smooth
remove from heat
add rice krispies, stir until well coated

using buttered spatula or waxed paper press mixture into a 13x9x2 in pan coated w/ cooking spray

LOL...I had to get my box of RC...

3 T. margarine
1 pkg. regular marshmallows or 4 cups mini marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies

Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.

Using a buttered spatula press mixture in a 13x9" pan coated with cooking spray.

Here you go.

Rice krispies treats
3 tablespoons margarine
1 package (10oz) marshmallows or 4 cup mini's
6 cups rice krispies

Melt margarine in large saucepan low heat. Aadd marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add rice krispies stir until well coated.
spread it using a buttered spatula or waxed paper press into greased 13x9x2 pan. cut into 2x2 squares when cool. makes 24 squares.

Yes, just made them last night.

3 tablespoons margarine
1-10 oz bag of marshmallows
6 cups rice krispies

I do the microwave version. Spray a 13x9 pan with cooking spray. (I also spray my wooden spoon, the bowl & the spatula--makes it easier to clean. I also spray a piece of wax paper with spray. If you don't like using cooking spray, you can use margarine)

In a microwave safe bowl, melt the margarine & marshallows for 2 minutes. Stir, return to the microwave for another minute. Stir again, then add the cereal. Put it in the 13x9 pan, use the piece of wax paper to spread. Cool & cut into squares. Enjoy.

I know they have the receipe at www.kelloggs.com

Gee we all posted about the same time. Now I want some got to search my pantry.

I ALWAYS add 50% more marshmallows than the recipe calls for....it makes them nice and gooey (not dry at all) :thumbsup2

Just my 2 cents -- Be sure you use fresh marshmellows! :sunny:

Some people have tried using old marshmellows that have gone stale just to use them up. The results are not good. :sad2: Believe me.

Me too I had another 2 cups of mini ones....the point about the stale marshmellows is true too....I tried it once...my trats were so hard they weren't anywhere close to being edible.

You guys need some more butter!

5-6 cups of rice krispies
1 whole stick of butter
1 small bag of marshmallows.

They turn out really good and marshmallowy.

Forget all that! Just melt a big bar of milk chocolate (UK made Cadbury's is my fave!), and then stir as much Rice Krispies in as you can... put it into seperate molds/cake-cups and put them in the fridge.

And then eat the the leftover with a big wooden spoon while it's still all warm and melty and gooey... Mmmm!

1 stick butter
1 bag marshmellows
Start pouring rice krispies (or whatever...we like cheerios!) into pan until you can't stir it!

This usually makes a 15x10 pan with nice thick krispies.

oh.. yum! i prefer them with chocolate rather than marshmallows...

or try this...

MARS BAR CAKES

3 Mars bars
3 oz. butter
3 oz. Rice Krispies

Melt the Mars bars and butter in a saucepan until melted. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies. Press mixture into a shallow dish. Chill then cut into squares.

(added extra! lol.... pour a layer of melted chocolate ontot he top before chilling... v yummy!)

Hmmmm...doesn't sound appealing to me as I really dislike chocolate but Dh might think it's pretty faboo. I'll have to try it! Thanks

And thanks everyone else. Whipped them up last night and they are 1/2 gone already
