What's the package everyone gets in the mail before their trip?

I always see people talking about this package they get like, a month-1 week before they leave for their vacation? What's in that package? Park tickets? Info on resort???

Not park tickets but usually everything else you get with a package deal - resort info, magical express tags (if booked with package), photo pass voucher (if booked/paid with package), and all the extras - DQ admission tickets, mini golf admission, discount coupons to the speedway, etc...and after magic bands are fully implemented I suspect they will be included too. HTH!

The Mickey Mail that many people mention is a booklet sent to people who have booked a package vacation (room + tickets + in many cases a dining plan). The booklet includes confirmation of what your package includes and vouchers for discounts (such as 2 DQ admissions, mini golf, baggage ID tags, $15 voucher for Planet Hollywood, discounts for various sports and/or recreation, etc.) If you are arriving at MCO and sign up for DME, it will also include your DME vouchers and yellow luggage tags. Park tickets will not be included in Mickey Mail; those are issued at the check in counter.

If you book room only or are staying at a non-Disney owned hotel you will not receive Mickey Mail.

So if I just book a Disney resort and park tickets and maybe make 1 ADR will I get something?

You just have to book a room and ticket package, no ADRs needed to get Mickey mail.

Booking a room + tickets will be a package. ADRs are not required to make it a package. There will be an initial deposit of $200 and the balance will be due 45 days before arrival. If you make any changes to your package within 44 days of arrival there can be additional fees.

If you make the reservation yourself, you can call Disney reservations if the booklet doesn't arrive. If you made it through a TA, you'll need to contact your TA. I have no idea if you can get the vouchers any other way, but all of them have your name and package dates on them so they are exclusively for you.

You should be getting it any day now! Ours came at about 36 days out.

Ours arrived almost a month to the day before our check-in date. We booked entirely through the Disney website and paid for it in full the same day we booked. Our packet contained: Mickey Luggage tags (basic not Magical Express because we are driving), a breakdown of all the people on our reservation with names and ages, hotel information, dates of stay, description of Park tickets (Park hoppers for the length of stay), our Dining Plan information and coupons/vouchers for a bunch of things we probably won't be doing LOL. We know our actual park hoppers are given at check-in.

This packet was useful for me because we booked a few months ago and I wanted something "concrete" to bring along with all the details of the reservation should there be any issues at check-in. (My printer is down right now and I wasn't sure I'd be able to print out the email and website confirmation pages!) Thankfully everything is correct in the packet so I feel fairly confident we are good to go!

No. As was stated in posts #2 and 3, the mailing only goes out to people who book packages, which means a room reservation and MYW tickets (regular park tickets). Party tickets don't make your reservation a package.
