What's the nicest thing you've ever bought at WDW?

Nifty topic. Hmmmmm.....lets see. Last year (2001) at MGM at the jewelry store (don't remember the name) they had stainless steel rings with the mickey ears imprinted on them in just one place. I luv it cuz it is a discreet mickey souvenir and when people ask to see the ring they are surprised to see the mickey ears. I also luv the Italian carnival masks in Italy. So far I have 2.

Hey Roque, that ring is part of the set of my favorite necklace and bracelet!! I know what you mean about it being subtle-- that's part of the appeal for me as well. The pendant I have is really cool, with that Mickey head imprint on top of a little diamond. :D I LOVE it. I couldn't afford the ring, even though I thought it was really cool, after buying the pendant and bracelet!

My Blizzard Beach cup. Each time I shake it up and watch the snowflakes fall, I feel like I am back at WDW.

Wow you guys have bought so much nice stuff. I guess the nicest thing I have is a snowglobe!:D

I bought myself some classic Pooh cone shaped mugs in the WL Mercantile. The are subtle and printed with small pictures of Pooh and friends with bee hives and leaves.

I start my day, every day with tea in my special mug. It is a daily reminder of our wonderful family vacation in WDW. Simple but special!

Love this thread. Let me add my three favourites:
1. My classic Winnie the Pooh Pin Set, mounted and framed. My DD bought it for me from the Art of Disney Shop as a surprise. It graces my office wall beautifully.

2. My little Tinkerbell (the one on a wire with a suction pad at the end). She hangs near my rear view mirror and reminds me every day of the magic of Disney.

3. My CD of the Candlelight Processional. I loved my evening there. I play it at Christmas, close my eyes and pretend I'm still there....................................

I am a watch lover, collector, just plain love watches.
A few trips back Hubby got me one of those artists drawn watches.

The artist personalized it for me and I have a print of the larger image.
I wore it all the time for months. It is one of my favorite watches, I don't wear it as often because I don't want it to start showing wear. It is to much of a keepsake to me.

Plus, I need to cycle through all my other watches;) .

watch with a discreet Mickey on the face. It looks so Businesslike from a distance. I don't know what i'll do if it ever wears out!

Hi DVCajun, unfortunately, this year I made a bee line to the same jewelry store in MGM and they hadn't rec'd a shipment of the stainless steel jewelry in quite sometime :( I was hoping to get something else to go with the ring or even a second ring. It was not meant to be:mad: I made up for it though with a spree through Epcot that my friends still talk about :p
i want to go back and I've only been home for a week:p

Snow White LLadro......I ordered it from the Emporium when I was a CM at TDS so I could get the discount...It was quite expense so the discount helped....

Well when it arrived it was the wrong Snow White figurine....I was so frustrated it took quite a few phone calls to straighten the it out and get the correct one shipped...I payed so much I didn't want just any figurine!!!!

I went on a trip to WDW a few months later and saw the Snow White Figurine that they had the NERVE of sending me rather than the one I really wanted....The price tag was about 3X's more then the one I actually purchased....I thought they had sent me a lousy low life figurine and in reality it was better then the one I actually got......Guess I shouldn't have been so snotty about the Snow White I got..:D

One of the best souvenirs I have ever purchased was a screen saver with 100 photos of WDW...it is wonderful to watch it ..makes me feel like I am there. It was only $10 at the Art of Disney at Downtown Disney.

Ok, it wasn't me, it was my parents but still...my dad had been eyeing this dark green (jade?) bar from the Japan pavillion for a few years, it has the Japanses women in traditional dress on the front and several hidden cabinets for various liquor, glasses, etc. it's about 4 feet high by 3 feet wide. It's really nice and probably a couple of thousand at least.

The best purchase I made at WDW was a hand-cut silhouette (spelling?) of my daughter at MK. It is a precious, one-of-a kind picture and I was amazed at how quickly the artist worked. I thought the artist would project a shadow and trace it, but she just looked at my DD and cut it free-hand. Very cool!

I had two made and gave one to my grandmother for christmas. My DD was 4 yrs old and I plan to have another made in a few years. Best $10 I ever spent in the park!

I'm still rather attached to the porcelain Aristocats I picked out in 1970-something...

and I'm still kicking my own backside for not buying the Adventurers Club canteen back in '92.

Although I have always bought lots of nice things in WDW in the past...this past trip with Mickey76 we bought the nicest things. Even though we don't live together yet....we bought stuff that we know will someday be ours in our house or apartment.
The nicest thing that comes to mind is the Mickey picture we bought. It's the picture of just his head smiling with yellow background. In the 2002 WDW vacation planning video it's shown quickly in a book.
The other really nice thing we bought was a Mickey lamp. This thing moves and talks.........it's so adorable. We bought other nice things too.......but those were the nicest in my opinion.
Oh and one thing I forgot....I have never gotten mouse ears (the traditional ones) until this trip......we both got one with our names on the back......that was pretty nice!

Hi, one of my favorite things I bought was a small glass blown ball with a glass carved mickey inside, I bought it across from Pirates of Caribbean at the glass cart. We had our daughters pictures cut out with the black paper also, its unbelievable how much it looks like them, and I also love my ornaments from the Christmas store at the marketplace!

I love my black fleece zip up that I got in Epcot. It's pretty plain, just says "Walt Disney World" and has the mouse ears logo on the left side, but I love it!

My Disney Vacation Club

My 1 of 100 Figment sketch purchased last month at EPCOT

My Mannheim Steamroller Meets the Mouse CD

My skydiver Mickey that dangles from my computer monitor

My Been There Done That Going Back magnetic bumper sticker that is on my refrigerator and my file cabinet at work

My commemorative popcorn buckets that hold exactly 1 bag of microwave popcorn to sneak into the movies at home

My Timeless Memories poster that retailed for $200 and I got for $25 that is hanging in my office

My Glow in the Dark Mickey "glove" necklace from one of the shops at Downtown Disney.

How much ARE the cutouts/silhouettes?? I am planning a trip for November, and would LOVE to get one done.

Thanx

Jules
