My boys are autograph hounds! Now that they're 13 & 11, they pretty much have all of the "regular" character autographs, and they're planning a challenge for our October trip. They want to meet the most "rare" character and get an autograph.

So, who's been the most rare character you've ever met?

I've met two of the Wiggles (Jeff and Murray), but that was at Wiggles concerts. ;)

I guess I'd say in the parks the "rarest" we've met would be Queen of Hearts in Fantasyland. I don't see her around too much elsewhere.

Ours was Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable at MGM. I don't know how regular they are now, but when we went in January, they were pretty hard to find. DD is a huge KP fan, and she was on :cloud9: after meeting them!!!

The rarest out of all the ones I've met that are still in the parks would have to be either Prince Eric, The Beast in human form (any of those Princes are pretty hard to find), or Bo Peep from Toy Story.

Launchpad McQuack, last January. Not sure how rare it is, but it was most certainly obscure.

Met Phil from Hercules about 5 years ago at MGM. Have not seen him since.

He was a great find.

Launchpad is a filler character when all the others are taken.

I'm sure you met him at Animal Kingdom, or perhaps magic kingdom.

he ties into animal kingdom because of his brief stint on Tail spin and Baloo is prety much the head mascot for Animal kingdom, that along with Rafiki.

We saw Pooh's buddie Rabbit for the 1st time ever last November over by the train in Toontown. As for my all-time favorite, Jiminy Cricket, we saw him once two summers ago and my DH was in such a hurry I didn't get my picture taken with him...still regretting that one!

Not sure how "rare" these are, but we saw Gideon and Ghepetto (sp?) from Pinocchio on our last trip. Gideon especially I thought was fairly unique to be out and about. We got our pics taken with Gideon, since he was off to the side by himself and nobody was getting in line to see him! :sad2:

i hate to burst your bubble but Gideon and Geppetto make regular apperances at town square.

Not sure if he's a regular, but we met Max (Goofy's son)

and one year we saw Doug

Well, gee.....ok! :confused3

I could be wrong, but Daisy seems to be a pretty rare sight. We saw her in 2002 at Animal Kingdom, but have not seen her since. The girls loved it!

Daisy was all over the place at Disneyland Paris this past October. So were the three little pigs, Prince Eric, Maleficient and Stromboli. It was so interesting to see the completely different 'regulars' there.

In case anyone was wondering on how rare a character is, I know HugsforEeyore has a pretty complete listing here. If a character isn't listed, that means they're really rare or aren't out anymore.

I have a Clopin autograph. It was totally cool he was hiding in France. :cool1:

wow - so according to this, we met quite a few characters who are "somewhat unusual", "rare" and "really really rare" all in one trip!

Cool!

Here they are:

This reminded me of our last trip. After standing in several lines for autographs for DD5, we were on our way out of the park when DH and I spotted Kim and Ron with a HUGE line. We purposely steered her away so she would not see them (ok it was me) to avoid another line. :lmao: We had an ADR to get to. :rolleyes1 Honestly she is not a huge Kim fan but she likes to get every autograph she can and duplicates also. I promise I'll be a good Mom and stop next time.

I was just getting ready to say Genie and then I saw your pic in the signature!! Loved meeting Genie and I think he is kinda rare! :wizard:
